The short answer: for verification on its own, Kickbox charges $70 for 10,000 checks against $129 for ZeroBounce's 10,000-credit pack, and $500 against $649 at 100,000 (Kickbox pricing, ZeroBounce pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). ZeroBounce earns the difference only if you will use what Kickbox does not sell: catch-all scoring, a written accuracy guarantee, and the warm-up and placement tests in its ONE plan at $99 a month. Choose ZeroBounce if your job is list cleaning plus watching inbox placement from one vendor; choose Kickbox if your job is checking lists and sign-ups at a lower price per check, with verification and support based in both the US and the EU.

Before the first upload:
- Price your actual list, not the pack. For example, a 40,000-address list fits Kickbox's 50,000 pack at $275 or ZeroBounce's 50,000 pack at $499, a gap of $224. Kickbox's purchased credits last one year (credits article), so the 10,000 left over need a second list inside twelve months; ZeroBounce's packs carry their own expiry rules outside ONE, per its pricing FAQ.
- Start from the platform the list lives in. Kickbox documents integrations with HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Marketo, Salesforce, Braze and Iterable among others (docs); ZeroBounce covers HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign and Salesforce (integrations docs). Pick the one that connects to yours without an export.
- Check the scores against your bounces. Kickbox adds a Sendex quality score from 0 to 1 and calls 0.70 and above good for marketing email (Sendex docs); ZeroBounce's A.I. Scoring ranks catch-alls from 0 to 10. After the send, compare bounces by score band. A score is worth acting on only where its low band bounces more.

Where they differ
A promise in writing on one side
ZeroBounce publishes its terms: 99.6% accuracy, 96% on AOL, Yahoo and Office 365, and a refund of 5% of the validation cost for each point it falls short, if you mail only the valid file within 72 hours to an opt-in list of 1,000 or more and supply the SMTP bounce codes (the ZB Guarantee). Kickbox's pricing page promises something narrower and simpler: when it cannot give a clear result, it refunds the credit. On the pages read for this comparison it states no accuracy percentage and no refund for a wrong verdict, so this page states none for it.
What a risky address means
Kickbox puts accept-all, disposable and role addresses in one risky bucket and leaves the decision with you, with Sendex and the Threat Score as hints (results docs). ZeroBounce splits them: catch-alls in one file, role and disposable addresses under do not mail, spam traps and abuse in their own files, with catch-alls scorable for another credit. Finer sorting, one more credit on the addresses where it matters.
Packs that age, or a plan that keeps
Kickbox sells packs only, with volume discounts on request above 1 million. ZeroBounce sells packs and the ONE subscription, whose 10,000-credit tier adds 250 warm-up seeds a day, 100 placement tests a month, one DMARC domain and 10 blacklist monitors (homepage). Kickbox's own extras are services: deliverability consulting and audits, sold separately (homepage).
Prices on 26 October 2026
| Checks | Kickbox | ZeroBounce pack | ZeroBounce ONE, a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | $40 | $69 | Not offered |
| 10,000 | $70 | $129 | $99 |
| 25,000 | $150 | $274 | $199 |
| 50,000 | $275 | $499 | $379 |
| 100,000 | $500 | $649 | $449 |
| 1,000,000 | $2,999 | $3,199 | $2,499 |
USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Kickbox pricing page and the ZeroBounce pricing page. Both give 100 free checks to start; ZeroBounce's refill each month for accounts on a business domain. At a million checks, a single month of ONE undercuts both packs.
An agent's sample run
ZeroBounce's MCP server installs from npm as @zerobounce/mcp and adds to Claude Desktop, Cursor or VS Code with your API key. Ask the assistant to report your remaining credits with get_credits, then validate a batch of 50 addresses from your list with validate_batch and tabulate the statuses. A person then compares that table with the same 50 run through Kickbox's free checks, and looks hardest at the addresses the two disagree on, before either vendor gets paid. Kickbox's route for automation is different: its Zapier guide verifies each new subscriber as a trigger, a verification and a resolution step, with no assistant involved.
Free first, then the right pack size
The free checks are enough to choose: 100 on Kickbox and 100 a month on ZeroBounce. Run the same 100 addresses through both, compare statuses, and look at what each calls risky or catch-all. If the two agree on nearly everything, the cheaper pack wins on price alone.
Then buy for the year you have, not the discount on offer. Kickbox's price per check falls from $0.007 at 10,000 to $0.005 at 100,000 (pricing page), while its purchased credits last one year (credits article): the bigger pack lowers the unit price and moves more money to Kickbox today, and the saving is yours only for the checks you run before the year is out.
Choose ZeroBounce if
- You want a written accuracy guarantee with a defined refund.
- Catch-alls are a large share of your list and need ranking.
- Warm-up and placement tests belong with verification under one bill.
Choose Kickbox if
- You need plain verification at a lower price per check.
- Verification run from the EU as well as the US matters to your data policy.
- You want "Did you mean" typo suggestions and a quality score at sign-up.

FAQ
Do Kickbox credits expire?
Yes, after a year. Its knowledge base says purchased credits work across list, real-time API, batch API and integrations, and that you have one year to use them.
Does either charge for an unknown result?
No. Kickbox refunds the credit and suggests retrying after about five minutes (results docs); ZeroBounce does not charge for unknowns or duplicates (pricing page).
How long does each keep my uploaded list?
ZeroBounce erases uploaded data 30 days after upload (pricing page). Kickbox deletes list data after 90 days, and neither you nor its staff can reach it after that (privacy docs).
