Emailable vs ZeroBounce: Pay per Clean or a Monthly Bundle

The short answer: consider Emailable if you verify a list a few times a year and want to pay only when you do: 10,000 credits cost $60, never expire, and an inbox placement report draws 100 credits from the same balance. Consider ZeroBounce if verification is one part of a monthly deliverability routine: ONE costs $99 a month for 10,000 credits and adds warm-up, placement tests and DMARC monitoring, while ZeroBounce's own one-off pack of 10,000 is $129 (Emailable pricing, ZeroBounce pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Choose Emailable if your job is cleaning an email platform audience before campaigns; choose ZeroBounce if your job is keeping a sending domain healthy every week.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

The pair earns its page on one fact: the same core check costs very different amounts depending on how you buy it.

Price the year, then the extras:

  1. Count cleans, then multiply. For example, four cleans of a 10,000-contact list in a year cost 4 x $60 = $240 on Emailable's credits and 4 x $129 = $516 on ZeroBounce's one-off packs. Twelve months of ONE cost 12 x $99 = $1,188 and leave 80,000 of the 120,000 credits for other tools or later lists (Emailable, ZeroBounce).
  2. What you already pay for. If a warm-up or monitoring tool is already on the card, ONE duplicates part of it. Both verifiers connect to the major email platforms: Emailable directly or through Make and Zapier (integrations), ZeroBounce through its own integrations and Zapier (integrations docs).
  3. The send window you can keep. Emailable's guarantee needs the send within 24 hours of verifying, ZeroBounce's within 72 (Emailable guarantee, the ZB Guarantee). Note the bounce rate of the send against your last campaign, and keep the bounce report either way.

What decides it

How each promise pays out

Both promise, both set conditions. Emailable guarantees 99%+ deliverability on addresses it marks Deliverable, 97%+ on Microsoft mailboxes, for opt-in lists of at least 1,000 unique addresses mailed within 24 hours, with bounces caused by non-existent addresses only; claim within 72 hours and paying customers get a 100% refund for the qualifying emails (guarantee). ZeroBounce guarantees 99.6% accuracy, 96% on AOL, Yahoo and Office 365, and refunds 5% of the validation cost for each point below that, on similar conditions plus the full SMTP bounce export (the ZB Guarantee). One refunds the addresses that failed; the other refunds a share of the job.

Monitoring by the use, or by the month

Emailable charges for deliverability tools as you use them: 100 credits per inbox report, 5 per blacklist check (pricing page). ZeroBounce bundles them into ONE and adds what Emailable does not list, warm-up seeds and DMARC monitoring (homepage). A team that checks placement before a launch twice a quarter pays less by the use; a team that sends every week and wants alerts gets more from the bundle.

ZeroBounce, one purchase$129$274$649$3,199
ZeroBounce ONE, per month$99$199$449$2,499

USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Emailable pricing page and the ZeroBounce pricing page. Emailable's minimum purchase is 5,000 credits for $38; ZeroBounce's is 2,000 for $39. Emailable's subscriptions take 15% off and reload every cycle; ZeroBounce's annual toggle on ONE advertises 20% off.

An agent runs the check, a person sets the bar

Emailable's command-line tool is built for this. Install it, run it once to sign in through the browser, and it offers to add a skill to Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode (AI agents page). The page's own example prompt is "Verify the emails in leads.csv and tell me which ones are safe to send to." The agent submits the batch, waits, saves the results and can filter to the Deliverable rows alone. Before that file goes back into your email platform, the list owner reads the Risky and Unknown rows and decides who stays, because a role address that has bought from you twice is not the same as one that never opened.

Test both, free, on the same 100

Start with no purchase. Take 100 addresses from the list you plan to clean, run them through Emailable's 250 sign-up credits (pricing page) and ZeroBounce's 100 free monthly validations (pricing page), and put the two results side by side. Where they disagree is the part of your list a tool choice affects; where they agree, either will do.

Then watch the first screen of ZeroBounce's pricing page. It opens on the ONE tab, so the first price a visitor sees is the one that bills every month, and the one-off packs, the cheaper route for a few cleans a year, sit behind a second tab.

Choose Emailable if

  • You clean an audience a few times a year and want credits that wait.
  • Placement checks happen before launches, not every week.
  • Your team works with Claude Code or Codex in a terminal.

Choose ZeroBounce if

  • You want warm-up, placement tests, DMARC and blacklist monitors under one bill.
  • You prefer catch-alls ranked by score.
  • You send every week and will use the credits ONE adds each month.

The entries: Emailable and ZeroBounce. The how-tos: cleaning a Mailchimp audience with Emailable and scoring catch-alls with ZeroBounce.

FAQ

Is either one charged for unknown results?

No. Emailable returns credits spent on Unknown results and duplicates when a list finishes (pricing page), and ZeroBounce does not charge for unknowns or duplicates (pricing page).

Can I cancel ZeroBounce ONE after one month?

Yes. ZeroBounce's pricing FAQ says the subscription can be cancelled at any time, and credits never expire while it is active; after it ends, expiry rules may apply to what is left (pricing page).

How can I pay each one?

Emailable lists cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with bank transfers on request (pricing page). ZeroBounce accepts the currencies Stripe supports, euro and pound included, and defaults to your region's currency at checkout (pricing page).
