Fliki vs invideo: Words You Wrote or Footage You Shot

The short answer: if the words already exist as text, a blog post, a script, a deck, Fliki turns them into narrated video on the lightest meter: the Standard plan, 180 credits for $28 a user each month when billed monthly, spends between a quarter of a credit and 2 credits per narrated minute (Fliki pricing, credit guide). If the words were spoken on camera, invideo is the tool: you upload the footage, an agent logs what is in every clip, and Starter costs $20 a seat a month with hand edits free of credits (invideo pricing, credits article). Both checked on 26 October 2026.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

What to weigh:

  1. A month of output, priced. For example, four 3-minute explainers from blog posts, voiced in the green band, cost 4 x (0.5 + 3 x 0.5) = 8 of Fliki Standard's 180 credits (credit guide). On invideo, Starter's 400 credits are what its plan card puts at about 15 Seedance 2 Fast videos, while cutting your own footage by hand costs nothing (invideo pricing).
  2. The archive you have. Forty published posts point to Fliki. Thirty hours of webinar and interview recordings point to invideo, whose agent logs each clip, so a described moment can be found (invideo homepage).
  3. One measure per video. Completion rate on the platform, and the click to the post or product page it was made for. Read both against the last month before the tool.

The difference is the raw material. Fliki starts from a script, its own or yours, chooses the visuals and voices it, so the video is assembled from words. invideo starts from footage and edits it, so the video is assembled from what was filmed. A team that writes a lot and films little should not pay for an editor, and the reverse holds too.

What separates them

Text to video, or video to video

Fliki's workflows begin with ideas, scripts, blog posts and decks, and charge half a credit to start from a blog URL and one credit for a PPT (credit guide). invideo's editor reads your footage, who is talking and what is in each shot, so an instruction such as cutting to 60 seconds or matching colour across two shots acts on real clips (editor introduction).

Where the credits go

In Fliki, mostly on voice: stock media, uploads and replays are free, and editing one scene's voiceover re-voices only that scene (credit guide). In invideo, on agent replies and model generations, which vary by model, mode and settings, and nothing on manual edits or downloads (credits article, pricing FAQ). A text-led channel spends almost nothing in Fliki; a footage-led one spends almost nothing in invideo if a person does the cutting.

Who edits with you

invideo lets up to 5 people on a Starter plan edit the same timeline at once, cursors visible (pricing). Fliki keeps team collaboration for Premium, $88 per user a month, where members share the admin's credits (Fliki pricing, Fliki guide).

The bill

On 26 October 2026, Fliki Standard cost $28 for each user on monthly billing, invideo Starter $20 a seat (Fliki, invideo). Both yearly prices carried a promotion that day: Fliki's yearly toggle sat next to a Halloween code taking 40% off annual plans and showed $16.80 a month, $201.60 for the year, while invideo showed $10 a month under a 50% annual offer. For example, one person on yearly billing pays $201.60 for Fliki or 12 x $10 = $120 for invideo, at those promotional rates; check what the second year renews at.

The agent step: find the take, then check it

Upload last quarter's customer interviews to an invideo project and ask the agent for every take where a customer describes the problem before they bought, laid out in order on a new track (invideo homepage). Switch the agent's permission to always ask first, so a search request cannot turn into paid generation (agent credits article). The human check: someone watches each take in its full context before it enters the cut, because a quote lifted from the middle of an answer can say the opposite of the whole answer, and the customer's permission covers what they meant.

Fliki's equivalent is Series, which plans a run of videos and writes their scripts for a posting schedule (Fliki homepage); there the check is a person reading each script against its source.

Where the tiers are drawn

invideo's Starter seat runs only the Lite agent; the Pro and Ultra modes sit on Plus at $60 a seat, three times the price (invideo pricing). Try a real brief on Lite before you assume you need the tier the homepage demonstrates.

Free first

With no card, Fliki's free tier grants 3 credits monthly, enough for a short narrated video from one post (pricing). invideo's free plan gives a small credit balance that refills weekly, on Mondays at midnight UTC (free plan article). Make one video from your most-read post in Fliki and one from your strongest recording in invideo, and publish both. The one your audience finishes tells you which raw material you have more of that is worth using.

Choose Fliki if

  • Your job starts with written content that should become narrated video, often and in several languages.
  • Nobody on the team films regularly, and stock visuals are acceptable.
  • One person makes the videos and a light monthly bill matters.

Choose invideo if

  • Most of your raw material is recorded: interviews, demos, events, webinars.
  • Several people edit together, or projects arrive from Premiere Pro or Resolve.
  • You want an agent to search and cut, with a person approving the timeline.

The entries: Fliki and invideo.

FAQ

Can Fliki edit footage I recorded?

Yes. It takes a raw MP3, MP4 or MOV file and returns a polished video with captions and B-roll (Fliki guide), though its scene editor is lighter than a timeline.

Can invideo start from a script instead of footage?

Yes. It turns a script or an idea into a shot-by-shot storyboard you can adjust before generating, with an AI co-writer for the script (invideo homepage).

Do unused credits carry over on either?

No. Fliki resets its quota on the billing date with nothing carried forward (Fliki guide), and invideo's pricing FAQ says unused credits do not roll over to the next month (invideo pricing).
