The short answer: under $100 a month, only one of these two has a door. Heepsy's free plan has no end date and gives 500 search results and 10 advanced profiles a month, and Starter costs $89 month to month (Heepsy pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Modash starts at $199 a month on yearly billing, $2,388 paid upfront, and its FAQ puts month-to-month billing $100 higher (Modash pricing, same date). Choose Heepsy to find out, cheaply, whether creators sell for you, or to reach creators on LinkedIn. Choose Modash once a Shopify store needs gifting, tracking and payouts run from the same screen.

Before the first search:

  1. What one opened profile costs. For example, on yearly billing Heepsy Starter is $69 for 100 advanced profiles, $69 / 100 = $0.69 each, and Modash Essentials is $199 for 300 opened profiles, $199 / 300 = $0.663 each. On monthly billing the gap widens: $89 / 100 = $0.89 against $299 / 300 = $0.997. Figures from the Heepsy and Modash pricing pages.
  2. The creators you already know. A search by exact handle costs Heepsy 1 credit instead of 24 for a page of results (credits article), and Modash imports creators by CSV, social handle or email (Modash pricing). Start from the people who tag you, not from an empty search box.
  3. What you will count after the first posts. Two numbers per creator: whether each paid post carried an ad label, and how many new customers came through the creator's code. Modash flags posts missing an ad disclosure on every plan (Modash pricing); Heepsy collects each creator's posts by mention, hashtag or timeframe and keeps the data if the post is deleted (Heepsy homepage).

Read on 26 October 2026 from the Heepsy pricing page and the Modash pricing page, whose FAQ sets the monthly prices at $100 above the yearly ones.

Three ways they differ

Which creators you can reach

Heepsy searches 20M+ creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, its whole database rather than only creators who opted in (Heepsy pricing FAQ). Modash searches 380M+ creators above 1K followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube (Modash pricing). A larger index matters for a niche in a small country. LinkedIn matters for a B2B brand, and only Heepsy has it.

How the credits drain

Heepsy charges 24 search credits for every page of results, treats a changed filter as a new search, and closes every opened profile when the billing cycle renews (credits article). Modash counts opened profiles, and reopening one you opened in the last 30 days costs nothing (MCP article). Heepsy punishes indecisive filtering. Modash punishes opening profiles you never meant to book.

How far the shop goes

Both connect to Shopify. Heepsy adds WooCommerce, tracks content, clicks and sales from Starter, and lets you pay creators by card on Plus, with funds held until the work is delivered and a 3.50% processing fee on top of the processor's charge (Heepsy homepage, payments fee). Modash syncs codes, orders and revenue both ways, runs gifting on every plan, and keeps affiliate commissions for Performance on yearly billing (Modash homepage, pricing FAQ). A WooCommerce shop has one option. A Shopify brand sending product to 60 creators a quarter will feel the difference.

Price lists on 26 October 2026

Heepsy, per month (pricing page): Free $0; Starter $89 billed monthly or $69 billed annually; Plus $199 or $149; Advanced $299 or $229; custom plans for large teams. No annual lock-in: cancel and keep access to the end of the period.

Modash, per month (pricing page): Essentials $199 on yearly billing ($2,388), $299 monthly; Performance $499 yearly ($5,988), $599 monthly; Enterprise from $14,700 a year. Monthly plans cancel at once; yearly plans run their term.

One agent step: a list checked before anyone writes to it

Modash's connector lets Claude or ChatGPT work in your account with your own permissions. Its prompt guide has two steps that fit a first campaign (prompt guide). First, import a CSV of candidates into the CRM, check for duplicates and show a preview before saving, without overwriting existing records. Then review the list before outreach: sort it by engagement rate and, for the top 10, check whether you have worked with them before and flag anyone already in a campaign. The agent sorts and flags; it sends nothing. A person reads the flags, opens the posts of anyone borderline and writes the first message. Heepsy offers no such connector: its API sits on custom plans and its terms ban scrapers and bots (scraping policy), so its AI step is the AI search box with a person typing. Ad labels and what GDPR lets you keep about creators are covered in the creator vetting use case.

Choose Heepsy if your job is

  • Testing whether creators can sell your product before any budget is approved.
  • Finding creators on LinkedIn for a B2B brand, or selling through WooCommerce.
  • Searching wide on a small budget, month to month.

Choose Modash if your job is

  • Running gifting, codes and tracking for a Shopify store from one CRM.
  • Opening profiles from an index of 380M+ creators on three networks.
  • Letting an AI assistant read campaigns and sort lists in your account.

Start free, and mind the Select all box

Heepsy's free plan is enough on its own for a first programme: write the brief as one AI search, set every filter before the first page loads, and open advanced profiles only for the ten strongest results. Modash's 14-day trial then shows whether its Shopify side earns the jump in price.

Heepsy's Select all reaches past the pages you have loaded and charges 1 search credit for every unseen creator it adds (credits article), so the quickest way to fill a project is also the quickest way to the upgrade page. For example, selecting 100 unseen creators spends 100 credits, more than the 4 x 24 = 96 that four pages of results would have cost, and the free plan's 500 results drain a fifth at a time. Save from pages you have read.
