How to Use Kittl to Build a Product Launch Asset Kit

The short answer: for one product launch a month, Kittl Pro at $19 a month on monthly billing gives each editor 2,000 AI tokens and the commercial licence a launch needs, which the free plan does not, since free designs are for personal use only (pricing page, free plan article, checked on 26 October 2026). The steps: import your brand from your store, brief Creative Agent with a product photo, pick and refine one direction, reframe the winners for each channel, place the artwork on mockups, check the rights and the words, then export.

Before you brief the agent:
- The token budget. Reframe costs 20 tokens per use (Reframe article). For example, 5 hero images x 4 channel ratios x 20 tokens = 400 tokens, a fifth of Pro's 2,000. Video is the expensive line: an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio can cost up to around 640 tokens, per the tokens article.
- What you already have. Your store page, a clean product photo and at least five images in the look you want: Brand Studio reads the store, and the visual style needs five or more references (brand article).
- The two readings that say it worked. The token balance in Plan & Billing before and after, which the tokens article shows how to find, and the share of planned assets that shipped without a manual redo.
What Kittl is, its plans and its rivals are in the Kittl glossary entry. This guide is one job: a new product, and every image the launch needs, in one sitting.
What you need
- Kittl Pro or higher. Premium mockups and high-resolution exports are paid features; the free plan exports at up to 800 pixels and 72 dpi (free plan article).
- A product photo with the product clearly in frame.
- Licences for any font you upload. Brand Studio lets you upload your own font if you hold the licence (Brand Studio page).
Step 1: Import your brand from the store
From the dashboard, click the brand selector, then Add brand, paste the link to your site or store and click Import. Kittl extracts the palette, fonts, logo, graphics and a visual style from the images it finds; for a font with no exact match it suggests the closest one in its library, and anything it cannot find is left for you to add (brand article). Review the result and fix what is off before any generation, because every later step pulls from it.
Step 2: Brief Creative Agent with the product photo
Open AI Studio from the dashboard's left toolbar and click the Creative Agent tab. Upload the product photo, click the Apply Brand icon next to the plus sign, and write a short brief: "Studio product shots and an Instagram ad for the new lavender candle." Creative Agent often asks a few questions first, about where the result will run, who it is for and how many options you want; answer them rather than writing a long prompt, which is the article's own tip (Creative Agent article).
Step 3: Pick one direction and refine it
Choose the concept closest to the launch and push it in the same chat: "more premium", "a warmer background", "change only the headline, keep everything else". Naming what should stay the same keeps the rest of the image intact. Hover over an image and click Edit for Remove Background, Edit Area, Vectorize, Upscale or Add Text; hovering over a tool shows its token cost before you use it (Creative Agent article).
Step 4: Reframe the winners for each channel
Select an approved image, click Reframe under Tools and choose a preset: 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 2:1 or 1:2, or a custom ratio. Reframe extends the canvas and fills the new space to match the original instead of cropping it (Reframe article). Do the feed, story and banner ratios now, while the look is fixed.
Step 5: Put the artwork on mockups
Open a project with the design on an artboard, select the artboard and click Mockups in the left toolbar. Pick a product from the library; the mockup is placed on the canvas and linked to that artboard, so a later change to the design flows into it, and you can export the whole set at once (mockup article). Premium mockups need Pro, Expert or Max.
Step 6: Or run the same brief from Claude or ChatGPT
If the team already works in an AI assistant, Kittl's MCP connector brings these tools into it. In Claude, add a custom connector named Kittl with the URL https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp, connect, approve and sign in; in Claude Code, one command registers it; in ChatGPT, it is added as a plugin in developer mode (connector article). The assistant then generates images, runs workflows and reports your token balance.
The first time it calls a Kittl tool, Claude asks you to approve it. Choose Allow once, not Always allow, for anything that spends tokens on a launch: the agent proposes, a person approves each run, and the finished images are reviewed in Kittl before anything is exported.
Step 7: Check the words and the rights
Read every line of generated text on the images: product name, price, claims. Then check the licence. On Pro or Expert you own images made with Kittl AI, and designs that mix them with Kittl content can go on products and into client work, but cannot be sold as stock (AI rights article).
Step 8: Export each asset for where it goes
Use Quick Export for a single element, or the full Export panel for size, DPI, format, colour and transparency; PNG suits transparent graphics and logos (export article). Two export options, background removal and the quality boost, are premium features.
Mistakes Kittl's help pages warn about
- A long first message. Creative Agent works better when it can ask its questions.
- Expecting a price for the whole request. Creative Agent decides how to handle a request as it goes and cannot show the cost of a full request ahead of time.
- A connector added mid-chat. Existing chats do not pick it up; start a new one.
- One connector too many. A free Claude plan allows one custom connector, so remove another first.
- Saving tokens for next month. Plan tokens do not roll over; only purchased tokens keep.
A free dry run, and who decides the spend
The free plan includes 100 one-time tokens and Creative Agent (Creative Agent article), so step 1 and a first brief cost nothing; use them to see whether the brand import and the concepts are close enough to your product before you pay. Brief it with something you are happy to show, though, because AI images made on the free plan are shared publicly with the Kittl community. On a paid plan, the default conversation hands the spending decision to the agent: the same article says Creative Agent picks its approach per request and cannot quote the cost in advance, so each round spends the tokens Kittl sells top-ups for, at the agent's discretion, until you check the balance between rounds.
FAQ
Can I use Kittl for client work?
Yes, on Pro or Expert: designs that mix AI images with Kittl content can be used for clients' projects, per the AI rights article. The free plan is for personal use only.
What happens to my designs if I cancel?
They are not deleted; premium features such as vector exports lock until you reactivate, per the pricing FAQ. You can keep using and selling designs made on Pro or Expert as long as the account stays open (post-subscription article).
Does a failed generation still cost tokens?
No. If a generation fails or does not complete, the tokens are refunded automatically, per the tokens article.
