The short answer: consider Pitch if a team of 2 to 25 sends decks to prospects and wants to see who opened which slide: Team runs $19 an editor monthly on yearly billing, includes 25 tracked links, and charges nothing for commenters or guests (Pitch pricing, billing guide, checked on 26 October 2026). Consider Gamma if the deck often becomes a document or a web page on your own domain, or if an agent produces it: Business costs $40 a member monthly on an annual contract, with 10,000 credits each (Gamma Business article). Choose Pitch if your job is sales and client decks you follow up on. Choose Gamma if your job is content read on screens and shared as links.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

This pair has no search history behind it; it is here because Gamma is the closest documented alternative to Pitch. Both are browser-first deck tools with AI and an MCP server. Pitch is organised around a shared workspace and what happens after a deck is sent. Gamma is organised around generating content in several shapes.

Who pays, and for what:

  1. Reviewers in the workspace. For example, four people who build decks and six who only review cost 4 x $19 x 12 = $912 a year on Pitch Team, since commenters take no paid seat (billing guide). On Gamma Business, every member who accepts an invitation is billed, so all ten in the workspace cost 10 x $40 x 12 = $4,800, and keeping reviewers on share links instead brings it to 4 x $40 x 12 = $1,920 (Gamma Business article).
  2. The decks you have. Pitch imports .pptx, so Google Slides and Keynote decks are exported to PowerPoint first (Pitch pricing FAQ). Gamma's importer takes PowerPoint and Word files and keeps layouts editable (import article).
  3. The follow-up signal. Agree before the first send which number triggers a follow-up: a visit that reached the pricing slide, say. Then check that the tool you pick reports it on the plan you can afford.

What separates them

Who takes a paid seat

Pitch charges for editors, meaning the owner, admins and creators; commenters and guests are free, and Team allows 25 guests (billing guide). Gamma subscriptions are per user on every plan, and a Business workspace bills each member it admits (plans article). Where many people review and few build, Pitch costs less.

A deck that reports back, or content that travels

Pitch's advanced links are built for sales follow-up: name a link per recipient, require an email, see the visit and the slide where it stopped (link guide). Gamma's strength is the shape of the output, decks that also become documents, web pages and social posts. Its analytics stop at the gamma itself and do not count views on a published site (analytics article).

What the seats cost

Pitch, per editor per month in US dollars: Plus $13, Team $19, Business $25 on yearly billing, or $15, $23 and $30 monthly; extra AI credits $0.004 each (Pitch pricing). Pitch bills in euros for European billing countries (billing guide), and the euro figures run lower: €10, €15 and €20 on yearly billing. Gamma's pricing page was behind a Cloudflare check on 26 October 2026, so this page carries no Plus or Pro figure; Gamma's help centre puts Business at $40 a member each month on annual billing and annual plans 28% below monthly ones (plans article).

One agent step: a follow-up list from link analytics

Pitch's MCP server runs on every plan and can list a deck's share links and read their analytics: visit counts, how far the median visit got, per-slide detail and individual visits (MCP overview). Connect it to Claude at https://mcp.pitch.com/mcp with OAuth. On Monday, ask: for each proposal sent last week, list the links, the visits since sending, and whether any visit reached the pricing slide. Ask for a table, not a draft email.

The account owner reads the table and decides who gets a call. An agent can say a visit reached slide 9; it cannot say whether that was the buyer or a colleague forwarding the link. If a Gamma proposal is in the mix, its get_gamma_analytics tool gives the same kind of summary on Pro and above, and Gamma warns that a view with zero slides is usually a link preview in Slack or email, not a person (analytics article).

The consent switch on a tracked link

When you create an advanced link in Pitch, engagement tracking can run with the "Get visitor consent" option off, and Pitch's guide says that option is off by default (link guide). The default gives Pitch's analytics, the feature its paid tiers are built around, the fullest data from every visitor. Pitch describes the option as asking for consent to the cookies needed for engagement tracking, and the ePrivacy Directive, in Article 5(3), lets a site put information on, or read it from, someone's phone or laptop only with their consent, the exception being what is strictly needed to deliver a service the visitor requested. For prospects in the EU, switch the option on, and ask counsel whether your use needs it.

Start on the free plans

Pitch Free allows up to five members, unlimited presentations, custom templates and a one-off 100 AI credits (Pitch pricing). Gamma Free starts with 400 credits and no card, and caps each prompt at 10 slides (plans article). Rebuild last month's proposal in both and send each to a colleague as if they were the buyer; whichever version they read to the end on their phone tells you which job you have.

Choose Pitch if your job is sales decks, proposals and client updates built by a few people, reviewed by many, and followed up from tracked links.

Choose Gamma if your job is presentations that double as documents and web pages, published on your own domain or produced by an agent from a brief.

Pitch's plans, agent and MCP server are covered in the Pitch entry; how to use Pitch fills a sales template and follows who opened it. For Gamma's agent-built proposal sites, see Visme vs Gamma.

FAQ

Does Gamma count views of my published Gamma site?

No. Its analytics article says analytics cover the gamma in Gamma, including share and present links and embeds, and recommends Google Analytics for the published site.

Can I pay for Pitch in euros?

Yes. The billing guide sets the currency by billing country: euros for EU and other European countries, pounds for the United Kingdom, US dollars elsewhere. Changing it later means starting a new subscription.

Do both MCP servers work on free plans?

Yes. Pitch says every workspace can connect its MCP server, with templates using variables on Business (Pitch MCP page); Gamma's server works on all plans, with analytics tools from Pro (MCP tools reference).
