SE Ranking vs Ubersuggest: Daily Tracking or Weekly Checks

The short answer: under 125 keywords on one site, checked once a week, you are watching a trend rather than running a reporting operation, and Ubersuggest Individual at $29 a month covers that (Ubersuggest pricing). Once a team has to report daily positions across several sites, SE Ranking Core at $129 a month on monthly billing tracks 2,000 keywords a day over 10 projects (SE Ranking pricing). Both prices were checked on 24 October 2026.

Ubersuggest changes two things: the cadence and the price floor. Its rank tracking refreshes weekly, and its entry plan costs less than a quarter of SE Ranking's. SE Ranking changes the reach. Daily tracking, more projects, and a research and audit suite sit behind the same login, which is what an agency or a multi-site marketing team pays for.
Rule of thumb:
- Work out the lifetime offer before the clock does it for you. Ubersuggest sells Individual for $290 once or $29 a month, and $290 / $29 = 10, so lifetime access pays back after ten months, if you keep the tool that long and the plan still fits (Ubersuggest pricing). Business works the same way: $490 / $49 = 10.
- Match the cadence to the questions you get asked. Ubersuggest's table lists rank tracking per project, updated weekly, on every plan; SE Ranking tracks daily (Ubersuggest pricing, SE Ranking pricing). If a manager asks what happened to yesterday's drop, weekly data cannot answer.
- Use the free data first. Search Console already reports daily clicks, impressions and average position for your own site, at no cost. Ubersuggest's homepage also offers a free search box for a quick look at a domain or keyword (Ubersuggest).
- Test both against the same list. Take 20 of your keywords into the 7-day Ubersuggest trial and the 14-day SE Ranking trial, and compare each with Search Console's average position for the same pages.
What each plan includes
| Ubersuggest Individual | Ubersuggest Business | SE Ranking Core | |

| One-off lifetime price | $290 | $490 | None listed |

Every row comes from the Ubersuggest pricing page, monthly view, and the SE Ranking pricing page, read on 24 October 2026.
Where they differ
Cadence
A weekly refresh is fine for a site owner who looks at rankings on Monday mornings. It is thin for an agency whose client calls on a Wednesday. Ubersuggest updates rankings and audits weekly on all three published plans, and its AI prompt checks run monthly on Individual, every two weeks on Business and weekly on Enterprise (Ubersuggest pricing). SE Ranking tracks keywords and prompts daily (SE Ranking pricing).
What counts as a project
Ubersuggest sizes plans by brands: one project on Individual, seven on Business, fifteen on Enterprise at $99 a month, with tracked keywords allotted per project (Ubersuggest pricing). SE Ranking states Core's limits for the plan as a whole, ten projects and 2,000 tracked keywords, rather than a quota per project (SE Ranking pricing).
What sits behind the tracker
SE Ranking pairs tracking with unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research, and with Looker Studio, Matomo, Analytics and Search Console connections. Ubersuggest leans toward content: AI article generation, two a month on Individual, with plagiarism scores and prompt-level optimisation (Ubersuggest pricing). One is a reporting platform. The other is a guide for someone doing SEO on their own site.
Prices on the day
Ubersuggest, monthly: Individual $29, Business $49, Enterprise $99, and custom plans on request; lifetime access at $290, $490 and $990; add-ons such as extra projects, keywords or users at $5 a month each. Read on the Ubersuggest pricing page on 24 October 2026.
SE Ranking: Core $129 on monthly billing or $103.20 a month billed annually; Growth $279 or $223.20, with 5,000 keywords and three seats; an AI Search add-on at $89 a month. Read on the SE Ranking pricing page the same day.
One discrepancy to settle before paying: Ubersuggest's monthly table lists 250 monthly credits on Individual, while the lifetime card for the same plan says 200 (Ubersuggest pricing). Ask which applies to the version you buy.
Two assistants, one question
Both tools expose their data to AI assistants. Ubersuggest's MCP server offers 42 tools across domain analysis, keyword research, backlinks, site audit and AI brand visibility, connected through OAuth and listed in Claude's connector directory (Ubersuggest MCP). SE Ranking's hosted server offers more than 180 tools, and a new trial comes with 100,000 free credits to run them (SE Ranking MCP).
A useful job for the trial week: connect both to the same assistant and ask each the same question, such as which of your keywords sit in positions 4 to 10 and which page ranks for each. The agent fetches and tabulates. A person then sets both answers against Search Console and decides which tool's numbers match the record closely enough to report from. It is a short check, and it settles the question with your own data.
Ubersuggest's lifetime offer sits under a countdown clock and a line saying the offer ends soon (Ubersuggest pricing). A timer is there to move the decision ahead of the comparison. The value of a lifetime plan depends on how long you keep the tool, and no clock on a pricing page knows that.
Choose Ubersuggest if
- Your job is SEO for one site of your own, with rankings read once a week.
- You want keyword ideas and AI-drafted articles in a low-cost tool.
- You have done the lifetime arithmetic and expect to keep it past ten months.
Choose SE Ranking if
- Your job is daily reporting across several sites or clients.
- You need backlink and competitor research without row limits.
- You want rank tracking, audits and AI prompt tracking in one daily dataset.

FAQ
Does Ubersuggest track rankings daily?
No. Its pricing table lists rank tracking per project with a weekly update on Individual, Business and Enterprise (Ubersuggest pricing).
Is SE Ranking worth more than four times the price for one site?
Usually not, if the site is yours and weekly checks answer your questions. The extra $100 a month, $129 against $29 on the two pricing pages checked on 24 October 2026 (SE Ranking, Ubersuggest), buys daily data, more projects and research depth.
Can SE Ranking replace Ubersuggest's keyword research?
For research, yes: Core includes unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research (SE Ranking pricing). Ubersuggest's AI article drafts are the part to replace separately, if you use them.
