The short answer: an agency with three clients on six profiles each, four staff and clients who approve posts, pays Sendible $99 a month on its Plus plan, which includes 3 workspaces, 18 profiles and unlimited users (Sendible pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). The same 18 profiles on Buffer Team cost 10 x $12 + 8 x $4 = $152 a month (Buffer pricing). For one brand on six or fewer profiles that needs an approval step, Buffer is the cheaper of the two at $72.

Sendible is built around the client. Each plan is a bundle of workspaces and social profiles with unlimited users, and the features that matter to an agency, Client Connect, client dashboards, approvals and white label, are arranged up the ladder. Buffer charges per connected channel, gives Team members for free, and has no client-facing layer beyond approval inside the account.
What to settle first:
- Where your profile count lands in Sendible's bundles. The plans hold 6, 18, 42, 90 and 300 profiles, so a count of 7 already needs Plus at $99 a month (Sendible pricing). For example, 7 channels on Buffer Team are 7 x $12 = $84 (Buffer pricing). Price the count you will have in a year as well as today's.
- How clients hand over their accounts now. If passwords travel by email, Sendible's Client Connect lets clients add their own profiles from a widget on your website, without sharing logins. That one step decides it for many agencies.
- Your busiest day in posts. Sendible sets a daily posting limit per workspace: 100 sends a day on Core, 200 on Plus, 300 on Premium, 500 above (Sendible pricing). Count the posts on your heaviest campaign day and check it fits.
The two tools in one table
| Tool | Price counts | Users | Client onboarding | Approvals | Comments on ads | Automation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sendible | Bundles of workspaces and profiles | Unlimited on every plan | Client Connect widget; client dashboards | Assignment and approvals from Plus; custom approval workflows in the plan table | Replies to Facebook ad comments listed | Zapier on every plan |
| Buffer | Each channel, cheaper after the tenth | 1 on Essentials, unlimited on Team | Clients join as users with access levels | One approval step on Team | Not collected | Zapier, Make, n8n and an MCP server on every plan |

What decides it
The client layer
Sendible's plan table lists Client Connect, client dashboards, permission groups and custom approval workflows, with white label as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise (Sendible pricing). Its homepage FAQ adds that clients can be limited to their own accounts, approval queues and reports. Profiles added through Client Connect land under the main admin's profile list and may need sharing to other users, per the Client Connect guide. Buffer has none of this as a product. A client can be a Team user with access to their channels, which works, and looks like your tool rather than their portal.
How the bill moves
Sendible's bill jumps at bundle edges and then stays flat; Buffer's rises one channel at a time and flattens past 10, 25 and 50 channels. At small counts with an approval step Buffer is cheaper. Across most agency sizes Sendible is, and its prices are published in USD, GBP and EUR, which spares a European agency the currency question.
One automated step, with the approval kept human
Sendible lists a Zapier integration on every plan (Sendible pricing). Zapier's page for Sendible lists four actions and no triggers: approve a draft post, create a queued post, create a scheduled post, and delete a post (Zapier's Sendible integration). One way to use that with an AI step: an assistant drafts captions into a shared sheet, an account manager marks each row approved, and only the approved rows trigger Create Scheduled Post in Sendible. Keep the Approve Draft Post action out of any agent's reach, because that is the step a person is there to take. Buffer offers the same route through its own Zapier, Make and n8n listings, or directly through its MCP server.
Price ladder against per-channel cost
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the Sendible pricing page and the Buffer pricing page, USD, monthly billing. Sendible's yearly prices are in brackets; it saves 15%. Buffer's figures are my sums of its volume rates.
| Profiles | Sendible | Buffer Team | Buffer Essentials, one user |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6, no approvals needed | Core: $35 ($30) | $72 | $36 |
| 6, approvals needed | Plus: $99 ($84) | $72 | Approvals not included |
| 18 | Plus: $99 ($84) | $152 | $92 |
| 42 | Premium: $199 ($169) | $231 | $171 |
| 90 | Elite: $299 ($254) | $335 | $235 |
Sendible's homepage FAQ sets its unlimited users against rivals that charge per seat (Sendible homepage), but users are not where its bill climbs. Placing approvals in Plus is what earns Sendible $99 rather than $35 from a one-brand team on six profiles that needs a sign-off step, as the first two rows of the table show.
Choose Sendible if
- Your job is running social for several clients, with client onboarding, client-facing dashboards and approvals in one place.
- Your profile count sits near the top of a bundle: 18, 42 or 90.
- You want invoices in pounds or euros, or a white-label portal later.
Choose Buffer if
- Your job is one brand on a handful of channels, with an optional approval step.
- Your client list changes month to month and you want to remove a channel the day a client leaves.
- You want a free plan to start from and an MCP connection on it.
