Superhuman vs Fyxer: A New Email Client or Help Inside Gmail

The short answer: if you want Gmail or Outlook to stay exactly where it is and replies to be drafted in your tone, Fyxer does that from inside the inbox: Pro costs $37 a person a month billed annually or $49 monthly, and Fyxer never sends anything itself (Fyxer pricing). If you would move into a faster client with Split Inbox, reminders, read statuses and comments your team can see, Superhuman Mail runs on top of the same account: Starter costs $25 a member a month billed annually or $30 monthly, and drafting by agent, Auto Drafts, starts on Business at $33 or $40 (Mail plans). Both checked on 26 October 2026. Fyxer adds an assistant to the inbox you have. Superhuman replaces the window you read it in.

Three things to count:
- The price of drafts in your voice. For example, for 3 people over a year, Superhuman Business costs 3 x $396 = $1,188 and Fyxer Pro 3 x $37 x 12 = $1,332, both billed annually (Superhuman annual plan, Fyxer pricing). If you can live without drafts, Superhuman Starter at $300 a year per person is the cheapest paid seat on this page.
- Your mail against Fyxer's meter. Fyxer sorts 5 emails per credit and gives Pro members 3,000 credits a month once its launch offer ends (pricing). For example, 150 emails a working day over 22 days is 3,300 emails, or 3,300 / 5 = 660 credits for sorting, before chat and other uses.
- The threads waiting on you on Friday. At 5 p.m. on the Friday before a trial, count the conversations where the last message is someone else's. Count again on the fourth Friday. Both tools promise follow-ups; that number shows which one delivered them.

What separates them
A new client, or help in the old one
Superhuman Mail is an app you switch to: keyboard-driven, with Split Inbox, Snippets, read statuses and team comments built around speed (Mail page). Fyxer leaves you in Gmail or Outlook and works on the mail itself, labelling and drafting; delete your Fyxer account and the inbox returns to how it was (pricing FAQ). Superhuman sells a version of that second idea too, an Email Assistant inside Gmail or Outlook with a 30-day trial, though its page states no price (Email Assistant).
A seat, or a seat plus a meter
Superhuman charges per member and lists no usage limits on its plan page. Fyxer charges per seat and counts credits: sorting, chat and other work draw on 3,000 credits a month per Pro member, or 6,000 pooled per member on Team (pricing). A heavy inbox suits a flat seat. A light inbox with many meetings suits Fyxer, whose notes come on every plan.
Prices, checked on 26 October 2026
Superhuman Mail, per member a month: Starter $25 billed annually or $30 monthly, Business $33 or $40, Enterprise on request (Mail plans); one annual subscription holds up to 14 people (annual plan). Fyxer, per person a month: Free; Pro $37 billed annually or $49 monthly; Team $64 or $99; Enterprise on an annual contract, and teams of 10 or more can ask for a volume quote (Fyxer pricing).
One agent step: Friday's unanswered client mail
Fyxer documents Flows: a trigger, plain-English instructions and a delivery channel, set up once (Flows guide). Create one from its own example: "Every Friday at 4pm, send me a list of client emails I haven't replied to", delivered to Slack. Fyxer notes that Flows are rolling out gradually, so check your Dashboard first. The human check comes free with the design: Fyxer drafts but never sends, so you open each item on the list, read the waiting draft, edit and send it yourself. On Superhuman Business, Claude can draft through the Mail MCP server, which can also send, so ask for drafts only and send from Mail.
Fyxer's pricing carries a launch offer: unlimited credits for the first 3 months, then 3,000 a month per Pro member (pricing). The quarter in which you decide whether to keep it runs without the meter you will live with afterwards. Log your credit use in month one and divide it against 3,000 before month four arrives.
Free first
Sort one week of mail by hand into Fyxer's three groups: To respond, FYI and Marketing. If To respond is small and Marketing is large, plain filters and an unsubscribe hour fix most of it at no cost. If To respond is large, drafting is the help you need, and then compare Fyxer's 14-day trial, which ends on the Free plan unless you pay (pricing FAQ), with one month of Superhuman Business at $40 (plans).
Choose Superhuman if your job is
- Getting through a heavy inbox fast, by keyboard, with splits for agencies, leadership and tools.
- Working shared threads with colleagues through comments and shared drafts.
- Paying a flat $25 a member billed annually for triage, without drafts (plans).
Choose Fyxer if your job is
- Keeping Gmail or Outlook and finding replies already drafted in your tone.
- Capturing meetings and the follow-ups promised in them, on every plan.
- Trying it free: the trial runs on Team for 14 days and then drops to Free.
The Superhuman entry explains Mail and the suite around it, how to use Superhuman builds a marketing lead's triage on Starter, and Superhuman vs Gmail asks whether the client is worth paying for at all.
FAQ
Is there a free trial of Fyxer Pro?
You are not misreading the page: the Pro card offers a 14-day trial, while the FAQ says Pro has no free trial and that sign-up starts a 14-day trial of Team with every feature (pricing). The trial you get is Team's.
Can either one send email on my behalf?
Fyxer, no: its FAQ says it drafts and you decide what gets sent. Superhuman's Mail MCP server lists sending email among its actions, and its Business plan's Auto Drafts prepare replies for you to send (MCP article).
Does Fyxer work with Outlook as well as Gmail?
Yes. Sign-up runs through Google or Microsoft, a seat covers one person however many inboxes they link, and connecting several inboxes at once starts on Team (pricing).
