AdAlign vs Opteo: Google Ads Improvements or Ad-Page Scores

The short answer: a clean Google Ads account can still leak after the click. Opteo keeps the account clean, from $129 a month for 10 accounts and $25,000 of monthly spend. It scans accounts daily and proposes Improvements you apply in one click (Opteo pricing, Improvements). For that leak, my recommendation is AdAlign. It scores every live Google and Meta ad against the page it opens. It starts with a free single-ad audit and, once connected, costs from €590 a month for up to €75k of spend (AdAlign pricing). Both read on 27 October 2026. If both problems are yours, run both.

Disclosure: I earn a commission if you buy AdAlign through a link on this page, and this page recommends it. Every claim about AdAlign links to AdAlign's own pages.

What decides it:

  1. The bill at your spend. For example, a Google-only account spending $40,000 a month fits Opteo Professional at $249, which covers 25 accounts and $100,000 of spend (Opteo pricing). AdAlign's Growth band is €590 at the same size (AdAlign pricing). If the waste you can see sits in search terms and bids, $249 does the job. AdAlign is a second line item you can skip for now.
  2. What Opteo already shows you. Its Fix Broken Links Improvement reports destination URLs it could not load and the spend going through them (Fix Broken Links). Its Scorecard has Landing Pages and Search Term Alignment sections (Scorecard). Generate a Scorecard and export the landing page rows before you buy anything else.
  3. The number that tells you a fix worked. Google offers conversion rate as a proxy for landing page experience (Google Ads Help). Note it per page for the last 30 days, then compare after any page change.

From Opteo's homepage, pricing, Linked Accounts, early access and MCP pages, and AdAlign's how it works and API reference, read on 27 October 2026. Opteo's pages disagree on platforms. The homepage describes a Google Ads tool. The help centre lists five ad platforms to import from. Ask which applies to your plan.

Where they part

Broken is not the same as mismatched

Opteo flags a destination URL it could not load, shows the error and where the URL is used, and suggests fixing it or pausing the ad group (Fix Broken Links). Its own note is candid. The crawler can pass a page that loads garbled for people, it checks destination URLs rather than the whole site, and it cannot see paused ads. AdAlign assumes the page loads and asks the next question: whether it confirms what the ad promised before anyone scrolls. A page can return a clean 200 and still lead with a different product, a missing discount or a "Book a call" where the ad said "Shop now". Which of your clean pages is that one?

Search Term Alignment is the real overlap

Opteo's early-access page describes Search Term Alignment as understanding "the level of alignment between your ad copy, search queries, and landing pages" (early access). For a search-only account, that covers real ground, and part of it is AdAlign's. Neither Opteo page describes the rest: reading the ad's image or video, scoring the page above the fold, a spend figure per page, or a daily re-check of pages. AdAlign documents all four (how it works). On Google Search it weights message match and above-the-fold continuity at 70% of the score.

Push-button changes, or none at all

Opteo is built to change accounts. Improvements go live in seconds, and changes appear in Google Ads change history under your MCC's email address (pricing FAQ). Some of its Improvements guard against platform automation. It flags Performance Max campaigns where Google writes text from your site, and switches that off in one click (text customisation). It does the same for Microsoft's final URL expansion (Microsoft final URL expansion). AdAlign never edits a campaign. The two meet at those settings. Opteo turns the automation off where you want control. AdAlign scores the pages wherever you leave it on.

From the Opteo pricing page. Yearly billing takes two months off, by arrangement with support. Opteo refunds your most recent invoice if you are unhappy, and allows 5% above a plan's spend limit before asking you to upgrade or unlink accounts (plan limits).

AdAlign charges in euros by spend band, before VAT: Growth from €590 a month up to €75k, Scale from €1,290 for €75k to €250k, Portfolio from €2,490. Each is an annual contract billed monthly, with a month-to-month option at 20% more, and a €1,500 paid pilot comes first (pricing).

AdAlign's band is read from the average monthly spend of every ad account you connect. Each account you link can lift you into the next band (pricing). Opteo counts spend the same way. On AdAlign, connect the accounts whose pages someone will fix this quarter, not every account under the MCC.

Choose AdAlign if

  • Your Meta spend needs the same scrutiny as your Google spend.
  • Pages are edited by other teams and you need to hear within a day when a page stops matching its ads.
  • You want images and video read against the page, with spend attached to each gap.

Choose Opteo if

  • Your work is Google Ads hygiene: search terms, negatives, bids, budgets and broken links.
  • You want a recommendation you can review and push live in seconds.
  • Your spend fits a $129 or $249 plan and the page side is already in hand.

The AdAlign entry covers its scoring in more depth. Opteo is not in this site's glossary, so go to opteo.com for its own description. For the message side of Google Search ads, see how to fix message match in Google Ads.

Free first, then the paid path

Opteo offers a 14-day trial (homepage). Google's own landing pages report shows, at no cost, which URLs your Search ads sent clicks to. Take your three highest-spend URLs from that report, pair each with the ad that served it, and run them through AdAlign's free audit or its free Ad Roast, which returns a shareable report. If the pages hold up, Opteo alone is enough for now. If they do not, AdAlign, which pays me a commission if you buy through this page, will connect one account read-only on a demo and walk through its spend at risk before the pilot.

FAQ

Does Opteo work with Meta Ads?

That depends on which Opteo page you read. Its homepage and pricing describe Google Ads. Its Linked Accounts article lists Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok, and its early-access page presents an all-new Opteo for all five (Linked Accounts, early access). Confirm with Opteo before you buy for Meta.

Will my clients see either tool?

Opteo says clients are not notified and its changes show under your MCC's email in change history (pricing FAQ). AdAlign connects read-only and makes no changes to show (how it works).

Where does each keep my data?

Opteo says data is encrypted and offers to sign an NDA (pricing FAQ). AdAlign's FAQ says ad content and landing page data are stored, anonymised, to build benchmarks. It adds that you can delete your account and data at any time, and that it is working toward SOC 2 (FAQ).
