The short answer: you are right to look twice at the one-off price. Ubersuggest's Individual plan sells lifetime access for $290, less than five months of Mangools Basic at $61 a month, and its $29 monthly plan includes a site audit that Mangools does not offer (Ubersuggest pricing, Mangools pricing, both checked on 24 October 2026). For one person running one site on a fixed budget, Ubersuggest covers more ground per dollar. Mangools is the pick when keyword research is a daily job, rankings span many domains, or you want an AI assistant to query the data.

Three sums before the countdown ends:

  1. Find the lifetime break-even. For example, Ubersuggest Individual costs $29 a month, $192 a year or $290 once, so the lifetime price equals 10 months of monthly billing or about a year and a half of yearly billing, on its pricing page. Mangools has no lifetime option; Basic is $452.40 a year billed annually against 12 x $61 = $732 billed monthly (pricing).
  2. Count a busy day of your own research. Mangools Basic allows 100 keyword lookups and 100 SERP lookups per 24 hours; Ubersuggest Individual allows 150 searches a day, per the two pricing pages (Mangools, Ubersuggest). Your last heavy research session is the number to compare.
  3. Connect the data you already own. Ubersuggest asks you to sign in with Google so it can read your Search Console account and find more site issues, per its pricing FAQ. That is your own data working for you, so grant it to a property you are happy to share.
  4. Decide the test inside the refund window. Mangools refunds within 48 hours of payment (pricing FAQ); Ubersuggest gives a 7-day trial on monthly plans and treats lifetime purchases as final. Pick the 20 keywords you will judge each tool on before you pay.

Where they differ in use

What a day of research allows

Mangools meters two things separately. Each search in KWFinder is a keyword lookup, and each time the SERPChecker panel loads is a SERP lookup, per its FAQ; the counter resets 24 hours after your first request. Its difficulty score is built from that SERP data, which is why the tools are sold only together. Ubersuggest counts reports per day: 150 on Individual, 300 on Business and 900 on Enterprise (pricing).

Whether your own site gets audited

Ubersuggest includes a site audit on every plan, crawling 1,000 pages a week on Individual and 5,000 on Business, plus rank tracking of 125 keywords per project weekly (pricing). Mangools' six tools research keywords, SERPs, links and domains, and track rankings, but none crawls your pages for errors (homepage). If you have no crawler today, that gap matters more than any lookup limit.

Who can automate it

Mangools includes its API and an MCP server on every paid plan (pricing). Ubersuggest's pricing FAQ says it has no API access plans available at the moment. So if keyword data should flow into a sheet, a dashboard or an assistant, only one side has the pipe.

Free accounts first

Open the Mangools free plan, which needs no card (FAQ), and run the ten keywords you care about most. Then start the Ubersuggest trial on the monthly Individual plan and run the same ten, plus a site audit on your own domain. After cancelling, Ubersuggest's FAQ says you can downgrade to a free account rather than lose access. For a site with a short keyword list, those free tiers and one week of trial can answer the question without a subscription.

Read the lifetime card line by line

The Ubersuggest page opens with a countdown and a claim of 90% off with lifetime access (pricing). A timer exists to make the decision before the trial has done its work, and here the decision is also final, because lifetime purchases are non-refundable. Read the lifetime card against the monthly one, too. Monthly Individual lists 250 monthly credits, 10 AI prompts per project a month and 25 AI prompt ideas per search; lifetime Individual lists 200 credits, AI prompts on demand only and 10 prompt ideas. The one-off price buys a smaller plan. If you take it, take it after the monthly trial has shown you which limits you hit.

A gap analysis run by an assistant

Mangools' MCP page lists around 35 tools, including a content gap analysis between domains and keyword lists you can create and fill. One step of a monthly planning job: you ask the assistant for the keywords two competitors rank for that your domain does not, filtered to difficulty your site can win, and saved to a new list. A person then reads the list and picks the five worth a brief, because a gap is not a reason to write on its own. The server is in beta, and every call counts against the plan's API quota.

Ubersuggest offers no equivalent through an API, so on that side the same job is an export and a spreadsheet.

Choose Mangools if your job is

  • Researching keywords most days, with separate SERP checks behind each difficulty score.
  • Tracking 200 to 1,500 keywords across many domains on one plan.
  • Feeding keyword data to an AI assistant or your own reports.

Choose Ubersuggest if your job is

  • Running SEO for one site alone, with an audit and rank tracking on a $29 monthly plan.
  • Keeping a one-off tool budget, once a monthly trial has shown the limits fit.
  • Using your Search Console data inside the same tool as keyword research.

The Mangools entry explains its six tools and lookup limits in more detail.

FAQ

Is Ubersuggest's lifetime plan the same as its monthly plan?

No. On 24 October 2026 the lifetime Individual card listed fewer monthly credits and fewer AI prompt features than the monthly Individual card, on the pricing page. Search limits, projects and tracked keywords matched.

Can Mangools audit my site the way Ubersuggest does?

No. Mangools has no site crawler among its tools (homepage); keep a separate crawler if technical issues matter.

Which gives more tracked keywords for the money?

It depends on how many sites you track. Ubersuggest Individual tracks 125 keywords on one project for $29 a month, and Business 150 per project across 7 projects for $49 (pricing). Mangools Basic tracks 200 keywords across unlimited domains for $61 (pricing), checked on 24 October 2026.
