Marblism vs Motion: Doing the Work or Scheduling It

The short answer: if the work that never happens is the posting, the inbox and the follow-up calls, Marblism does it: 50 hours of AI work a month cost $44 on monthly billing, which Marblism says covers 30+ social posts or 8 to 10 blog posts (pricing article). If the work exists but never fits the week, Motion plans it: a Pro AI seat costs $29 a month billed monthly, $145 for a team of five, and its scheduler books every task into each person's calendar (Motion pricing). Both checked on 26 October 2026. Short of hands, pick Marblism. Short of hours, pick Motion.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
Both sell AI to the same overloaded owner, and they solve opposite halves of the problem. Marblism produces. Eva sorts the inbox and drafts replies, Sonny writes and designs social posts, Penny writes SEO articles, Stan finds and contacts leads, and Rachel answers calls on a number of her own (getting started). Motion arranges. It reads each task's start date, duration, deadline and priority, splits long tasks into chunks and places them in free time around meetings marked busy (auto-scheduling reference).
Settle these before either trial:
- Seats against one pool. For example, five people on Motion's Pro AI plan pay 5 x $29 = $145 a month billed monthly, or 5 x $19 = $95 a month on annual billing (Motion pricing). Marblism charges no seat at all: unlimited members share one pool of hours, from $44 a month (pricing article).
- Last month's output, priced in Marblism hours. A social post counts 30 minutes, a blog post 1 hour, a drafted email 5 minutes. For example, 16 posts, 4 articles and 60 email drafts come to 8 + 4 + 5 = 17 of the base plan's 50 hours (pricing article).
- Your open tasks, in Motion's terms. Motion places a task once it carries a duration and a deadline. Count how many of yours have both; the rest is setup work.
- The signal you will read after a month. Motion's calendar shows a yellow exclamation for a stage at risk and a red one for a missed deadline (indicators). Count red marks there, and published drafts in Marblism.
The pair on one sheet
| Question | Marblism | Motion |
|---|---|---|
| What you hand over | The doing: inbox, social, blog, leads, phone, legal drafts, website (getting started) | The timing: projects, tasks, calendar, meetings and docs in one place (Motion) |
| Price unit | Hours of work, a fixed value per task (pricing article) | Seats, with 7,500 or 15,000 AI credits by plan (pricing) |
| Entry price, billed monthly | 50 hours, $44 | Pro AI, $29 a seat |
| Who counts | Unlimited members and workspaces on one pool | Each Owner, Admin or Member occupies a seat (billing reference) |
| Before the AI changes something | Connected apps ask first; per app: Always allow, Ask every time, Auto or Never allow (integrations) | AI Chat asks before making changes (AI Chat) |
| Reaching other tools | 100+ apps on hours plans; no public API or webhooks | Zapier, Google and Microsoft calendars, Zoom, and an API for all users (integrations) |
| If it does not fit | 7-day money-back guarantee (pricing) | Purchases are non-refundable (cancel your plan) |
Where they part ways
Output, or order
Marblism's employees keep working between your messages: Sonny checks in daily with ideas or a draft, Penny weekly, and Eva sorts every new email (getting started). Publishing a post, answering a phone or sending outreach is not among the features on Motion's pricing page. Motion makes the plan hold; somebody still does the work in it.
One calendar per task
In Motion a task belongs to one person only, because each task is tied to one calendar; to involve three people you duplicate it (team FAQ). That keeps each schedule true to a real week, and it means every contributor needs a seat. Marblism ties no price to people: a second brand is another workspace on the same hours.
Who checks the AI
Both default to drafts. Marblism's posts and articles wait until you publish or schedule them, Eva saves replies for you to send, and the one thing that goes out unasked is her meeting summary to the other guests, which you can switch off (getting started). Motion's AI drafts a project for you to review and edit before it is saved (projects guide).
A launch planned in one, drafted in the other
The job: a webinar launch six weeks out. In Motion, create a Project Workflow Template, describe the project in a sentence, attach the brief and select Generate & Preview; Motion's AI drafts the stages and tasks, and a person edits durations, dependencies and placeholder roles before saving (projects guide). Auto-scheduling then books each task into its owner's week. The writing tasks go to Marblism: Penny drafts the two articles, Sonny the LinkedIn posts, and nothing goes live until someone publishes it. For example, 2 articles and 10 posts use 2 x 1 + 10 x 0.5 = 7 hours (pricing article). Neither documents a link to the other, so a person carries the brief across.
What a month costs
In USD per month, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Marblism pricing article and Motion's pricing page, using its Teams and Individuals tabs:
| Situation | Marblism | Motion, billed monthly | Motion, billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| One founder | 50 hours: $44, or $24 yearly | Individual Pro AI: $49 | $29 |
| Team of five, light use | The same 50 hours, members unlimited | Pro AI: 5 x $29 = $145 | 5 x $19 = $95 |
| Team of five, heavier use | 100 hours: $82, or $45 yearly | Business AI: 5 x $49 = $245 | 5 x $29 = $145 |
Marblism also bills quarterly, $33 a month for 50 hours, and sells no top-ups: more hours means the next tier, charged pro rata the day you move (pricing article).
Both pricing pages open on the annual figure. Marblism's headline reads $24 a month, the yearly rate, and Motion's page loads on the Teams tab with annual billing selected, so the $19 seat you see first is a year paid in advance (Marblism pricing, Motion pricing). That first view hands each vendor twelve months of fees before anyone has judged a month of drafts or schedules, and Motion's help centre adds that purchases are non-refundable. Pay monthly for the first cycle; the annual saving will still be there in month two.
Choose Marblism if your job is
- Producing posts, articles, inbox drafts and lead outreach nobody on the team has time to write.
- Answering the phone and booking appointments on a dedicated number.
- Running several brands or businesses from one pool of hours.
Choose Motion if your job is
- Fitting a team's projects into the hours its calendars really hold.
- Running repeatable launches from templates with stages, roles and dependencies.
- Seeing which deadline is at risk while there is still time to move it.
The free test comes first
Neither has a free plan. The free step is a sheet with two columns: work nobody does, and work done late. Price the first in Marblism hours; in the second, count tasks that already carry a duration and a deadline, the ones Motion can schedule on day one. Then start whichever trial the sheet points to, on monthly billing: Marblism refunds within 7 days, and Motion places a $1 card hold to verify your card when you choose a plan (account FAQ).
Some sheets show a third column: work redone because priorities change every Monday. No scheduler or AI employee settles that; it is the decision an interim CMO is hired to make, a service I offer.
FAQ
Does Marblism schedule a team's tasks like Motion?
No. Each AI employee runs work you schedule daily, weekly or monthly, listed on its Tasks page (getting started), but nothing places people's work into their calendars by duration and deadline.
Can Motion write and post social content?
It drafts text: AI Docs and an AI writer and editor are listed on its pricing page. Posting to social accounts is not, which is where Marblism's Sonny comes in.
Can the two be connected?
Not directly. Motion works with Zapier and has an API (integrations); Marblism has no public API or webhooks (integrations article), so no automation can reach it.
