Replo vs Shopify: Hosted Campaign Pages or Your Own Theme

The short answer: Replo does not replace Shopify, it sits on top of it: with a store connected, its pages put products into a Shopify cart, check out on Shopify and land orders in your Shopify admin (Selling with Shopify). So the real question is whether a second subscription earns its place. If you publish a few campaign pages a month, the theme editor and Sidekick that come with every Shopify plan, from $39 a month on Basic, will build them (Shopify pricing). If you buy paid social with a fresh page per ad angle, Replo's Starter plan, $119 a month on monthly billing or $99 billed annually for 10,000 credits and 100,000 visitor sessions, is built for that pace (Replo pricing). Both checked on 26 October 2026.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

What decides it:

  1. The year, not the month. For example, Replo Starter for twelve months is 12 x $119 = $1,428 on monthly billing, or 12 x $99 = $1,188 billed annually, on top of the Shopify plan you keep paying, per the Replo and Shopify pricing pages. Set that against what one extra converting page a month is worth to you.
  2. The editor you already own. Every Shopify plan includes Sidekick, and in the theme editor it writes text and custom theme blocks from a short description. Build the next landing page there first; it costs nothing extra.
  3. The report you will judge it by. Pull orders by landing page from Shopify for the last 30 days before any new page goes live. Replo's own guide says Shopify will keep reporting the orders but not the page views on Replo pages, which show in Replo's Insights and GA4 instead (analytics guide).

Where they part ways

One sells, the other builds pages for the seller

Replo's own Shopify guide is plain about who is in charge: product management happens in Shopify, Shopify is the source of truth, and Replo requests read access to products, collections, inventory and orders without changing them (Selling with Shopify). Replo can also sell without Shopify, through its own checkout or platforms such as WooCommerce and Stripe, but for physical products with stock and shipping its docs point back to Shopify. Searching "Replo vs Shopify" usually means asking whether one can stand in for the other. It cannot. The decision is about pages.

Inside the theme, or beside it

A page in your theme inherits everything the theme carries: navigation, search, app blocks and every app script ever installed. Replo pages are server-rendered React apps on Cloudflare's edge, which its subdomain guide gives as the reason they load fast and cannot be uploaded into a Liquid theme. The same guide names one cost that is easy to miss: the cart on a Replo page is separate from a cart the visitor started on your theme site, so items do not merge between the two. Shopify's own split testing has its limits too: Rollouts experiments start on Grow, cannot change Liquid templates and do not run on vintage themes (requirements).

What grows the bill

Shopify's plan price does not change with page views; what grows is card fees on sales. Replo meters the work and the traffic: credits are spent "based on how much work it takes", monthly credits reset unused, and Starter includes 100,000 visitor sessions a month against 500,000 on Pro at $599 (billing guide). A store that rebuilds pages weekly and sends most ad clicks to them feels both meters.

Prices on 26 October 2026

Shopify, in US dollars on monthly billing: Basic $39, Grow $105, Advanced $399, Plus from $2,300, per the pricing page. The yearly figures on that page changed between loads that day, so plan on the monthly ones.

Replo, in US dollars: Free with 1,000 credits granted once; Starter $119 a month, or $99 billed annually; Pro $599, or $499 billed annually; Custom by quote (pricing). Starter and Pro include one site on a custom domain, with more sold as an add-on, and new paid plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee (billing guide).

One AI step, on the plan you already pay for

Open the theme editor on a duplicate of your live theme and add a section to a new page template. Ask Sidekick for a block in plain words: "a comparison of the two bundle sizes, with the price and savings of each, and one add to cart button per bundle". Sidekick writes the block into the theme, and Shopify's help page says to review all generated text and code before you publish (Sidekick in the theme editor).

The person who publishes checks three things the model cannot know: that every price and saving matches the product in the admin, that the claims on the block are true of the product, and that it reads well on a phone. Replo's agent does the same job from a pasted ad, on its own domain; the human check is identical.

The free route, then the paid one

Build your next campaign page in the theme editor and run it for four weeks, counting orders per visit in Shopify. If the bottleneck turns out to be how fast pages get made, not how they convert, try Replo's free plan: 1,000 credits and unlimited sites on replosites.com, enough to rebuild one live page and compare (billing guide).

Know which way the meter runs before you scale. Replo's plans count visitor sessions and a Shopify theme page does not, so every ad you point at a Replo page instead of your store draws on Starter's 100,000, and the billing guide's answer to traffic that keeps running past that is an email to Replo's support about a bigger plan.

If the page question has become a question of which pages live where, across two analytics sources and two carts, that is a stack decision. I sell a one-week review for exactly that, the Startup Fixer, which ends with a map of where each page type belongs.

Choose Replo if your job is

  • Shipping a landing page per ad angle without waiting on whoever owns the theme.
  • Building pages from ads, screenshots and competitor URLs by describing them.
  • Selling from campaign pages that also check out outside Shopify.

Choose Shopify if your job is

  • Running the store itself: catalogue, checkout, payments, stock and orders.
  • Keeping landing pages on your root domain, inside the theme and in Shopify's own reports.
  • Building a few campaign pages a month with the editor and Sidekick you already pay for.

FAQ

Can Replo replace my Shopify store?

Not for a stocked catalogue. Replo's own guide recommends Shopify for physical products with inventory and fulfilment, and keeps Shopify as the source of truth for products when connected (Selling with Shopify).

Will abandoned cart emails still work on Replo pages?

Yes, according to Replo: because the cart and order data live in Shopify, abandoned cart emails, confirmation flows and segmentation keep working (subdomain guide).

Does Replo change my Shopify theme?

Replo Agent pages never touch it; they are hosted separately. The Theme Builder, a separate Replo product, publishes into the theme, including sections and product templates (product overview).
