The short answer: for a four-person B2B team where nobody will type contacts into a CRM, Salesflare Growth costs $116 a month for all four at $29 per user billed annually, which is $16 more than Salesforce Starter Suite at $25 a head; the $16 buys a CRM that creates contacts and account timelines from email and calendar as soon as a mailbox is connected, with no administrator involved. Prices are from the Salesflare and Salesforce pricing pages, checked on 26 October 2026. Choose Salesforce when an administrator will set up activity capture, and the team needs service, marketing email or commerce in the same suite.

Three questions to answer on paper:
- The monthly cost at four seats. For example, 4 x $29 = $116 on Salesflare Growth and 4 x $49 = $196 on Pro, where email workflows of several steps live, both billed annually; Salesforce Starter Suite is 4 x $25 = $100, billed monthly or annually. On monthly billing Salesflare Growth is 4 x $39 = $156. Figures from the Salesflare and Salesforce pricing pages, checked on 26 October 2026.
- Where your data is now. On Salesforce already? Its Data Export gives you account, contact and opportunity files, and Salesflare's migration guide shows how to rename the closed stages, add account names with a lookup, and import accounts, then contacts, then opportunities. On spreadsheets? Connect a mailbox in the trial and let it build the list.
- The count that proves it. After one week, set the accounts the CRM created against the ones your team would have typed. If the CRM's number is larger, automatic capture is earning its seat.
What Salesforce changes is who decides what gets logged. Salesflare starts capturing the moment a person connects a mailbox. Salesforce logs email and meetings through Einstein Activity Capture, set up first at company level by an admin and only then by each rep, per the capture overview. It is a rule set you own, rather than a habit the tool has.

What changes day to day
Who types the contact
Salesflare creates contacts from your connected email and calendar and fills each account's timeline with the history between your team and theirs, per its email sync article. Salesforce's capture attaches email to leads, contacts and accounts that exist; its troubleshooting article lists missing records, excluded domains and Google mail older than six months as reasons a message does not appear. For a founder who meets twenty new people a month, that rule decides how complete the CRM is.
Where the follow-up comes from
Salesflare's Pro plan sends workflows of several emails from your own mailbox, at $49 per user billed annually on its pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026. Salesforce Starter Suite lists dynamic email nurture campaigns and lead scoring, with 2,000 marketing emails a month included, per its Starter page. One sends as the rep; the other runs marketing email from the suite.
What a departure does to the record
Salesforce's capture guide says captured data is tied to the user's connected account, so deactivating a user or removing the connection can change what related records show, and retention depends on licence and edition. Before a rep leaves, an admin needs a plan for that history.
What it costs, checked on 26 October 2026
Salesflare, per user a month on its pricing page as checked on 26 October 2026, with the same figures shown in euros and dollars: Growth $29 billed annually or $39 monthly; Pro $49 or $64; Enterprise $99 or $124, with a five-user minimum. Lead credits rise from 5 to 100 to 250.
Salesforce, per user a month on its pricing page, also checked on 26 October 2026: Starter Suite $25 on either billing; Pro Suite $100 on a yearly contract; a free suite for two users on the Free Suite page.
One AI step: ask first, change later
Salesflare is listed in the ChatGPT app directory and the Claude connector directory, and also runs an MCP server, per its AI guide. Monday morning, ask it which accounts have had no follow-up recently, ranked by open opportunity value. The founder reads the list and picks three. Only then ask the assistant to create a follow-up task for each, and confirm each change it proposes, as the guide advises: start with read-only questions, then review anything that creates or modifies data.
Choose Salesflare if your job is
- Founder-led or small-team B2B selling, run from Gmail or Outlook, by people who will not log by hand.
- Following up with several-step emails sent from each rep's own mailbox.
- Seeing which accounts turned active this week from opens, clicks and website visits, which its feature list covers under lead scoring and tracking.
Choose Salesforce if your job is
- Putting sales, service, marketing email and payments for a growing team in one suite.
- Owning the logging rules through an administrator, including what stays private.
- Moving towards forecasting and quoting on Pro Suite.
Free first
Salesflare's 30-day trial asks for no card; connect one mailbox, wait a week, and count what it built. Two Salesforce users can run the Free Suite at $0 without a contract, per its Free Suite page, checked on 26 October 2026, and the paid suites carry a 30-day trial. Because Salesforce ties captured history to each connected account, an empty seat still holds the record of every conversation that rep had, which gives a team a reason to keep paying for seats nobody uses.
FAQ
Can Salesforce create contacts from email the way Salesflare does?
In part. With contact sync configured, Einstein Activity Capture scans the connected account and creates records for contacts not yet in Salesforce, and Salesforce recommends syncing from Salesforce to the account rather than the reverse, per its capture guide.
Does Salesflare cap contacts?
No. Its limits article says contacts, accounts and opportunities are uncapped, while reserving the right to step in if numbers stop making sense for a sales CRM.
Where do I start with Salesflare?
How to use Salesflare follows event leads from a connected mailbox to an email workflow and a hand-off to sales.
