The short answer: you are reading Vista Social's pricing page correctly if $80 looked like the monthly price: it is the rate for a year paid up front, $950, and the Monthly toggle shows Professional at $99 for 15 profiles and 2 users (Vista Social pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). RecurPost costs $25 a month for 5 accounts on Personal and $79 for 20 accounts and 3 users on Agency (RecurPost pricing). If the work is answering comments, DMs and reviews and turning some of them into leads, Vista Social is built for it; if it is keeping evergreen posts cycling across many accounts on a small budget, RecurPost is.

Vista Social spends most of its product on what happens after a post goes out: a shared inbox, review replies, comment-to-DM automations that collect contact details, and AI agents that watch all of it on a schedule. RecurPost spends most of its product before: libraries of posts that publish again on a timetable, across as many accounts as you connect, for a price per account.
Know your content mix:
- Price the profiles you have. For example, one brand on 12 profiles pays Vista Social $99 a month, or $950 / 12 = $79.17 a month on a year paid up front; RecurPost Personal with 7 extra accounts is $25 + 7 x $4 = $53 a month, or Agency at $79 once a second person or client approvals are needed, per the Vista Social and RecurPost pricing pages.
- Count last month's conversations against last month's posts. DMs, comments that asked something, and reviews, by network, beside the number of posts you published. If the conversations outnumber the posts, the inbox is your job. If the posts dominate and many of them could run again, the library is.
- Fix two measures now. The median time to a first reply, and engagement on reposted posts against new ones. Both tools report engagement; the reply time you may have to take by hand once.

What separates them
After the post goes out
Vista Social's automations ask for an email or phone number inside the DM, check the format, retry on a bad answer and can update the contact in a connected CRM, from Advanced (data collection article). RecurPost's version is deliberately smaller: one preconfigured message per matching comment, up to 1,000 characters, with a button, and its own page says it reports no opens or clicks, so a tracked link does the measuring (DM automation page). Its inbox covers four account types and states that six networks, X and TikTok among them, do not feed it.
How a post comes back
Vista Social recycles post by post. Each evergreen post needs an expiry date, a reuse count of up to 25 and an interval of 3 to 100 days, and it only fills queue slots you mark as evergreen, never overwriting scheduled content (evergreen article). RecurPost recycles library by library: one schedule for a whole group of posts, applied to every account connected to the library, with seasonal libraries that switch themselves off after their date window (recycling page). Vista's rules suit a brand curating a handful of strong posts. RecurPost's suit an agency running the same tips library across twenty client accounts.
Who pays for X
Vista Social sells X as a $29 monthly add-on covering publishing, boosting, automations and analytics. RecurPost passes on X's own charge of $0.20 for each post with a link, from a wallet topped up from $10.80 (RecurPost pricing). A brand posting a few links a week to X pays less the RecurPost way; a heavy X publisher, the Vista way.
A year of each
| Plan | Profiles or accounts | Users | Month to month | A year paid up front |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vista Social Professional | 15 | 2 | $99 | $950 |
| Vista Social Advanced | 30 | 3 | $199 | $1,910 |
| Vista Social Scale | 70 | 4 | $449 | $4,310 |
| RecurPost Starter | 2 | 1 | $9 | $90 |
| RecurPost Personal | 5 | 1 | $25 | $250 |
| RecurPost Agency | 20 | 3 | $79 | $790 |

One AI step: an agent proposes, a person decides what repeats
Vista Social's prebuilt Ask Vista agents run on Advanced and up, and one of them, Anika, the evergreen recycle planner, sweeps each month for archive posts older than 90 days that performed well and could be recycled, per the agents article. The agent proposes. A person opens each candidate, checks that its offer, price, link and staff names are still true, and only then marks it evergreen with an expiry and a reuse count. RecurPost gets to the same pile without AI: its Import from Social pulls posts already published on a connected account into a library, where the same person filters them by hand.
Choose Vista Social if
- Your job is the conversation: comments, DMs and reviews, with leads captured into a CRM.
- You want scheduled agents watching the inbox, approvals and the posting calendar.
- A small team of two to four handles everything.
Choose RecurPost if
- Your job is keeping many accounts publishing from evergreen and seasonal libraries.
- The budget is tight: five accounts for $25 a month, or twenty for $79.
- Instagram comment replies with a link are as much DM automation as you need.
Count first, then trial
The conversation count from the list above takes an hour in the native apps and costs nothing. Then trial the tool that count points to with one brand for 14 days. Vista Social's Hootsuite and Metricool comparisons cover its inbox and reviews in more depth: Vista Social vs Hootsuite, Vista Social vs Metricool.
Vista Social's pricing page opens on the yearly toggle, so the $80 a visitor sees first is the monthly share of $950 paid in advance, and the month-to-month price of $99 appears only after a click (Vista Social pricing). That default frames the year-long commitment as the normal one. Decide on the billing cycle after the trial, with the month-to-month figure in front of you.
FAQ
Is Vista Social's Professional plan $80 or $99 a month?
Both, depending on billing. It is $99 on monthly billing, or $950 for a year paid up front, which the page shows as $80 a month, per the pricing page on 26 October 2026.
Does RecurPost automate Instagram DMs?
Yes, on every plan: a keyword or any comment triggers one DM with an optional button, and RecurPost can post a public reply at the same moment. It does not run branching conversations or report opens and clicks.
Can Vista Social recycle posts the way RecurPost does?
It recycles individual posts on every plan, up to 25 times each with a required expiry, per its evergreen article. RecurPost recycles whole libraries across every account attached to them.
