The short answer: if your content plan starts from where AI assistants leave you out, Writesonic is built for that, and for a team of three its Growth plan costs $499 a month with three users, 200 tracked prompts and 50 AI articles (Writesonic pricing). If the plan starts from a brand that many channels must sound like, Jasper is built for that, with Pro at $69 a month for a single seat and anything beyond one user on a custom Business quote (Jasper pricing). Both checked on 26 October 2026. Choose Writesonic if your job is winning mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews; choose Jasper if your job is on-brand campaign content across channels.

Both vendors now talk about GEO, so the pages look closer than the products are. Writesonic's loop is track, prioritise, act, measure, with content as one of the acts (Writesonic homepage). Jasper's is brand context first, voices, audiences, knowledge, then agents that produce content inside those guardrails, with GEO agents on Business (Jasper pricing).
What decides it:
- Price an article, then a person. For example, Writesonic Starter at $99 a month with 15 AI articles works out at $99 / 15 = $6.60 an article, and Growth's add-on is $100 for 20 more, or $5 each (Writesonic pricing). Jasper prices people instead: standard content in Chat and Canvas does not consume credits, so the seat is the cost (Jasper pricing FAQ).
- Plug in what you already have. Writesonic connects Google Search Console, GA4 and WordPress on its plan table (pricing); Jasper's Brand Voice learns from content you already published. The data a team owns points to the tool that uses it.
- Decide the measure before the trial. Writesonic checks each fix at day 14 and day 28 (homepage). For Jasper, count review rounds per piece for a month before and after.

Where they differ
Data first, or voice first
Writesonic tells you which questions to write for: it runs your prompts daily on three platforms, more on Enterprise, and lists missing prompts, citation gaps and technical issues in its Action Center, which is a trial on Growth and complete on Enterprise (pricing). Jasper tells you how the writing should sound and checks it against stored rules. One answers which page to publish next, the other whether a draft sounds like the brand, and a team usually feels only one of those gaps sharply.
What the bill counts
Writesonic counts prompts, daily answers, articles, audits and users, and steps up from $99 to $249 to $499 a month on monthly billing (pricing). Jasper counts seats, $69 or $59 on Pro, and adds credits on Business for usage features such as GEO Hub reports and agents (Jasper pricing FAQ). A heavy publisher outgrows Writesonic's article caps; a growing team outgrows Jasper's single Pro seat.
Which agents can reach it
Writesonic's MCP server works with any active paid plan and exposes visibility, citation and Action Center data to Claude or ChatGPT (MCP docs). Jasper's MCP server gives outside agents its brand voices, audiences, style guides and content generation, but the API behind it is for Business customers (Jasper MCP server, API getting started).
What each costs, checked on 26 October 2026
Writesonic, from its pricing page, per month: Starter $99 monthly or $79 billed annually; Basic $249 or $199; Growth $499 or $399; Enterprise custom. Annual plans are paid 12 months up front; extra users cost $50 a month on Basic and Growth.
Jasper, from its pricing page, per seat a month: Pro $69 monthly or $59 billed yearly on a 12-month commitment; Business custom, starting with a 12-month commitment.
For one person, Jasper Pro at $69 is the cheaper door. For three people, Writesonic Growth at $499 is a published figure and Jasper's is a sales conversation.
An article grounded in your own sources, checked before it ships
Writesonic's Article Writer has a mode it calls grounded in your knowledge: you upload a brand brief, product docs, founder notes and customer research as PDF, DOCX or URL, and the pipeline writes from those first, using web research only to fill gaps (AI Article Writer). The job: one of your tracked prompts, say a buyer asking which tool suits mid-size retailers, shows rivals named and you absent. Feed the writer your product sheet and two customer interview notes and let it draft the comparison page that answer engines have nothing to cite from you.
Then a person takes over. An editor checks every product claim against the sheet, removes anything the interviews do not support, and only then publishes. At day 14 and day 28, Writesonic's tracking shows whether that prompt now names you (homepage).
Try both without paying
Writesonic's trial needs no card, and Jasper offers seven free days on Pro (Writesonic pricing, Jasper pricing). Give both the same brief in the same week: one article for a prompt you are missing from, written in your brand voice. Writesonic should show you the gap and draft the fix; Jasper should draft something that needs fewer edits to sound like you. Whichever wins on your counts is the one to pay for.
Writesonic sells extra articles only as a Growth add-on, $100 for 20, and its FAQ tells anyone who keeps needing more to consider upgrading (pricing FAQ). A Starter team that runs past its 15 articles therefore has one listed way forward, the plan two steps up, which is the step the cap was drawn to prompt.
Who should pick which
Choose Writesonic if your job is getting your brand named in AI answers, with the tracking, the fixes and the before-and-after numbers in one place, for a team of one to three.
Choose Jasper if your job is content across ads, email, web and social that has to keep one voice, and a single seat or a Business contract fits how you buy.
The Writesonic entry covers its plans and Action Center. Jasper has no entry here; its site is jasper.ai. Writesonic against a tracking specialist is in Writesonic vs Profound.

It stores writing styles: one on Starter, five on Basic and ten on Growth, with custom numbers on Enterprise (pricing).
Can I add a second user to Writesonic Starter?
