AdAlign vs Motion: Which Ads Win, or Which Pages Match

The short answer: the convert score is low, and Motion points at the landing page. You read it right. When the score drops, Motion's metrics guide sends you to the page, and Motion's help centre documents ways to view that page, not a score that compares it with the ad. AdAlign is that score. It rates each live ad against the page it opens. Its Growth plan costs from €590 a month on an annual contract for up to €75k of monthly ad spend (AdAlign pricing, checked on 27 October 2026). Put one stalled ad through the free audit first, and keep Motion for the question it answers better: which creative to make next.
Disclosure: I earn a commission if you buy AdAlign through a link on this page, and this page recommends it. Every claim about AdAlign links to AdAlign's own pages.
This page is about Motion the creative analytics platform at motionapp.com, as its LLM information page puts it. It is not the AI task planner of the same name that this site's glossary covers.
Before you add a second tool:
- Price the stall. AdAlign counts spend at risk as last week's spend on ads scoring below 5, divided by 7 and multiplied by 30 (AdAlign homepage FAQ). For example, flagged ads that spent €2,450 last week and all score below 5 come to €2,450 ÷ 7 × 30 = €10,500 a month.
- Use the list Motion already builds. Its landing page iterations report filters to spend above $1,000, click score above 70 and convert score below 70 (Motion guide). Ads that win the click and then stall. That is your audit queue.
- Fix the measure first. Motion scores an ad once it has $50 of spend (metrics guide). Note each flagged ad's convert score, change the page, and read the same ad again two weeks later.

What decides it
A score from results, or a score from the page
Motion's scores are built from what an ad did, and results are hard to argue with. The hook is first-frame retention, the click is outbound CTR, and the convert score is your goal metric, such as click to purchase (Motion metrics). They do read the page from outside, though. A low convert score looks the same whether the page dropped the discount or showed the black trainer instead of the red one. Which of the two happened to yours?
AdAlign reads the inside. It captures the page as a phone shows it, sets it beside the ad, and names the dimension that pulled the number down. The look of it carries 40% of the default weight. Headline and offer, the promise above the fold and the voice carry 20% each (how it works). The low number arrives with its reason.
Who opens the page
Motion lets you look. It groups a report by landing page with scrollable previews (Motion landing page guide), and whoever looks makes the call. AdAlign makes it a standing check. Ads roll up to the page they share, pages rank by spend at risk, and monitored pages are re-checked daily and marked Stable, Pending or Drifted (how it works).
Search, and who sees it
Motion connects Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. AdAlign syncs Meta and Google Ads, Search included (AdAlign FAQ). If most of your spend is on Google Search, Motion sees none of it. If most is on TikTok, AdAlign scores it by upload or API.
What each costs
Checked on 27 October 2026. Motion's pricing page lists Starter at $999 a month for up to $50k of monthly ad spend. Pro above $50k and Growth above $125k are quoted on a call. The page does not say whether the $999 is billed monthly or annually. Its LLM page, last updated 19 November 2025, still shows $250, so older figures circulate. AdAlign's pricing page prices bands of total ad spend, excluding VAT. Its FAQ puts month to month at 20% more, and the page's structured data gives the figures below. Every plan starts with a €1,500 pilot credited to the first invoices.
| Tier | Motion | AdAlign, annual | AdAlign, month to month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | Starter, $999, to $50k spend | Growth, from €590, to €75k | €710 |
| Middle | Pro, on request | Scale, from €1,290, €75k to €250k | €1,550 |
| Upper | Growth, on request | Portfolio, from €2,490, €250k to €750k | €2,990 |
Both, on the ads that stall
The free version stands alone. Open the top ten ads from Motion's iterations report and their pages on a phone. Mark each pair on four checks: the same product and look, the same headline and offer, the promise visible before scrolling, the same voice.
Then let AdAlign read. A connected Meta or Google account has every new ad scored as it goes live. TikTok ads go by upload, or on Scale through the REST API. A script or agent posts the creative URL, platform: "tiktok" and the page URL to /api/analyze-ad, and gets back four scores and the fixes (developers). Neither vendor documents a link to the other, so that script is the glue. A person reads the weakest dimension and the drafted fix before the page changes. AdAlign's page variants, labelled beta, publish nothing until someone does (how it works).
Motion's cancellation article says every plan opens with a 3-month commitment, during which cancelling is unavailable. So a quarter of fees is settled before any convert score has moved. Run the routine inside those three months, while the answer can still change what you renew.
Choose AdAlign if your job is
- Making sure every live Meta and Google ad still matches its page, and knowing what each mismatch costs a month.
- Catching the page that changed under a running ad: an edited hero, an expired promotion, a CRO test the media team never heard about.
Choose Motion if your job is
- Deciding which hooks, formats and creators to make more of, from your own results across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Briefing editors and reporting creative performance to people who never open Ads Manager.
Often it is both. They play different positions: Motion picks the next creative, AdAlign checks where it lands. Background: the AdAlign glossary entry and how to use AdAlign.
Start with one stalled ad
Run the ad at the top of Motion's iterations report through AdAlign's free audit. The overall score needs no account, and a free account adds the breakdown, the fixes and 5 audits a month. If the flagged ads keep coming back below 5, AdAlign, which pays me a commission, is worth a call. Every plan starts with a 30-day pilot at €1,500, refunded if it surfaces fewer than 3 issues your team agrees are real (pricing). Book it on the demo page.
FAQ
Does Motion check landing pages?
It shows them, grouped with previews on Meta and TikTok, and its convert score falls when visitors stop after the click (feature matrix). Its documentation describes no comparison of page and ad. AdAlign scores exactly that.
Can the two share data?
Not natively. Motion has a read-only MCP server for Meta data (Motion MCP). AdAlign has a REST API with 1,500 evaluations a month on Scale (developers). Moving ads between them is a script, not a setting.
Which costs less at $40k a month of Meta spend?
On list prices checked on 27 October 2026, Motion Starter is $999 a month (Motion pricing) and AdAlign Growth from €590 on an annual contract, excluding VAT (AdAlign pricing). They do different jobs. The cheaper one is the one whose job you have.
