The short answer: if you will keep the plugin for three years on five sites, SEOPress PRO costs $59 a year and renews at $59, so $177 in total, while All in One SEO (AIOSEO) puts five sites on Pro, $14.96 a month billed annually in year one and its full $33.25 a month after that (SEOPress pricing, AIOSEO pricing, both checked on 24 October 2026). Pay AIOSEO's higher renewal when your job needs its Link Assistant, SEO revisions and, on Elite, rank tracking inside WordPress.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
SEOPress changes the shape of the bill. It is flat, the same in year three as in year one, and it covers five sites for $10 more than one, on its pricing page. AIOSEO changes the depth of what sits in the dashboard as you climb its tiers, and charges for each step. Both have free versions that do the basics well enough to run a site on.
Three years, not one:
- Five sites, three years. SEOPress: 3 x $59 = $177 (SEOPress pricing). AIOSEO Pro: 12 x $14.96 = $179.52 in year one, then 12 x $33.25 = $399 for each renewal year, so $179.52 + $399 + $399 = $977.52 (AIOSEO pricing). Plus would be cheaper, but it stops at three sites.
- Migrate from what is installed, and keep the way back. SEOPress imports from Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO and more than seven other plugins with its free version, and leaves the original metadata in the database so the old plugin can be switched back on (SEOPress migration). AIOSEO's importer reads Yoast, Rank Math and SEOPress the other way (AIOSEO on WordPress.org).
- Know where performance will be read. SEOPress PRO 10.3 shows Search Console clicks, impressions, CTR and position in its dashboard, the post editor and the post lists (SEOPress 10.3 notes). AIOSEO keeps Search Statistics for Elite (AIOSEO pricing). Search Console itself is free, and it is the record both must match.

Where the difference is real
How the renewal is built
AIOSEO's page shows each plan's normal price beside an introductory one and footnotes that all renewals are at full price; its FAQ puts Basic's renewal at $99 a year and says the pattern holds across plans at roughly double the first-year rate (AIOSEO pricing). SEOPress prints "renew at the same price" under every PRO tier: $49 for one site, $59 for five, $149 for unlimited, all excluding VAT (SEOPress pricing). On a five-year plan the flat line wins easily. On a one-year test, the two first-year bills are close.
What you can see without leaving WordPress
AIOSEO's tiers add tools you see daily: TruSEO analysis on every plan, Local SEO from Plus, the Link Assistant and 30 SEO revisions on Pro, and Search Statistics with keyword rank tracking and content decay tracking on Elite (AIOSEO pricing). SEOPress puts site audit, Local SEO, WooCommerce SEO, schemas and Search Console statistics into PRO at every site count (SEOPress pricing), and sells rank tracking and backlinks separately as Insights, $99 a year per site.
Consent, if the plugin loads your analytics
For a site with visitors in the EU this is not a footnote. Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive allows storing or reading information on a visitor's device only with consent, apart from storage strictly necessary for a service the visitor asked for (ePrivacy Directive on EUR-Lex). SEOPress's consent bar starts Google Analytics, Matomo and Microsoft Clarity only for visitors who said yes, and version 10.3 made it work with cache plugins such as WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache and W3 Total Cache (SEOPress 10.3 notes). If AIOSEO or a tag manager loads your analytics instead, the consent mechanism has to come from somewhere else.
Prices, 24 October 2026
AIOSEO, per month billed annually, USD, introductory first year then full price: Basic, one site, $4.13 then $8.25; Plus, three sites, $8.29 then $16.58; Pro, ten sites, $14.96 then $33.25; Elite, 100 sites, $19.97 then $49.92 (AIOSEO pricing).
SEOPress, per year, excluding VAT, flat: PRO for one site $49, five sites $59, unlimited sites $149; Insights $99 per site; AI Credits from $19 a month (SEOPress pricing, AI Credits). Both pages were checked on 24 October 2026.
Letting the assistant fix what the analysis flags
SEOPress's AI Assistant sits in the block editor sidebar. Its /fix command reads the issues the content analysis has flagged on the post you are editing and proposes a corrected value for each one it can repair; /links suggests internal links only to pages that exist on the site (SEOPress AI Credits). The human check is built in, and worth keeping: nothing is written to the post until someone approves it, the assistant can only touch an allowlist of SEO fields, and a role setting under Advanced, Security decides who on the team may use AI at all. AIOSEO's nearest equivalent is "Suggest a fix", which applies AI rewrites inside Elementor, Divi and WPBakery and draws on AI credits, per the release notes on its pricing page.
AIOSEO's pricing page opens with an offer of six months free and footnotes that the price is introductory, with every renewal at full price (AIOSEO pricing). A year-one discount is how a plugin wins the install, because switching SEO plugins later is work nobody schedules. The renewal is the number to put in the budget.
Choose All in One SEO if
- Your job is internal linking and content upkeep inside WordPress, where the Link Assistant and revisions earn the renewal.
- You run three sites or fewer and Plus covers them.
- You want keyword positions and content decay reports in the dashboard and can justify Elite.
Choose SEOPress if
- Your job is maintaining many sites over years at a cost that does not move.
- Your visitors are in the EU and you want the analytics consent bar in the same plugin.
- You want to connect an assistant without installing an adapter plugin, starting in read-only mode.

FAQ
Does SEOPress raise its price at renewal?
No. Each PRO tier on the pricing page says it renews at the same price, checked on 24 October 2026.
Which AIOSEO plan do I need for five sites?
Pro, which covers ten. Plus stops at three (AIOSEO pricing).
Do I lose my AIOSEO data if I try SEOPress?
No. SEOPress imports locally on your server and leaves your original metadata in the database, so the previous plugin can be reactivated (SEOPress migration).
