Freshworks vs Pipedrive: Sales and Support, or Sales Alone

The short answer: if your sales deals and your support tickets belong to the same customers, Freshworks lets each team see the other's work: the Freshsales app inside Freshdesk shows a customer's five most recent deals next to the ticket, on all plans of both, per its integration guide. If sales is the whole job, Pipedrive is the cleaner pipeline. On price they meet: Freshsales Pro and Pipedrive Growth are both $39 per seat a month billed annually, on the Freshsales and Pipedrive pricing pages, checked on 26 October 2026.

Freshworks changes who else is in the room. It makes Freshsales for sales and Freshdesk for support, and connects the two, so the rep about to call a customer can see the complaint that arrived this morning. Pipedrive makes one product for one team, and connects everything else through its marketplace.
Where to start:
- Price the plan with the features you need. For example, eight reps who need sequences: Freshsales Pro is 8 x $39 x 12 = $3,744 a year and Pipedrive Growth is the same, 8 x $39 x 12 = $3,744. On monthly billing it is 8 x $47 = $376 against 8 x $49 = $392 a month. From the Freshsales and Pipedrive pricing pages.
- Check what support runs on today. If your support team already works in Freshdesk, the link to Freshsales needs only an API key and an app install, per the integration guide. If support lives in another help desk, most of Freshworks' advantage goes with it.
- Measure the overlap first. Export open deals and open tickets and match them by company. The number of accounts with both is the size of the problem a shared vendor solves. If it is two accounts, ignore it; if it is forty, it decides the comparison.

Three differences
One customer, two teams
The Freshsales app for Freshdesk lets a support agent see leads, contacts, deals and accounts from Freshsales, and create a lead without leaving the ticket. Freshsales users see linked tickets on contact, deal and account pages, with a link back to Freshdesk. That is the case for Freshworks in one sentence: a renewal call no longer walks into an open complaint. Pipedrive lists no help desk of its own in its plans, so the same view needs a third-party connector.
Scoring done by a model, or by your rules
On Freshsales, Freddy calculates contact scores from 0 to 99 and a customer fit rating of one to five stars, from patterns in contact properties, engagement and web activity, per the scoring article. Pipedrive's Premium plan offers custom scoring models that you build to match your process. One learns from your history; the other does what you tell it. With little history, your own rules are often the safer start.
What the cheapest tier gets you
Freshsales Growth, at $9, includes a kanban view, contact lifecycle stages, chat, email and phone, and basic workflows. Pipedrive Lite, at $14, includes pipelines with rotting alerts, the leads inbox, AI report creation and API access, but no automations. A very small budget buys more breadth on Freshsales and a sharper pipeline on Pipedrive.
Pricing, checked on 26 October 2026
Freshsales, per user a month, from its pricing page: Growth $9, Pro $39 and Enterprise $59 billed annually, or $11, $47 and $71 billed monthly. Add-ons on every plan: branded documents at $19 per user a month and the Freddy AI Agent at $49 per 100 sessions. The Freshsales Suite has the same seat prices with 500 marketing contacts, and more from $100 per 5,000 contacts a month.
Pipedrive, per seat a month, from its pricing page, in USD excluding VAT: Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $59, Ultimate $79 annually, or $24, $49, $79 and $99 monthly.
An entry price is set to open the door. Freshsales' $9 Growth plan is real value for a basic pipeline, but scoring and sequences, the features most comparisons quote, sit on Pro. Compare the plan that holds the features you listed in step one, not the plan with the smallest number.
An AI step: let the score sort, let a rep decide
Freshworks documents this in its contact scoring article. Once an admin configures the score signals, Freddy ranks contacts and suggests the next action for each. A rep filters the list to four and five star customer fit, hovers over each score to read the key scoring factors, and picks the morning's calls. The human check is that reading: a high score built on one pricing-page visit is not the same as one built on a reply. Freshsales can also tag contacts as likely to buy automatically; keep that off until a manager has compared a month of tags with what the reps judged.
Choose Freshworks if
- Your job is selling to customers who also open support tickets, and both teams should see the whole account.
- You want model-based contact scoring without building the rules yourself.
- You need a basic CRM with phone, chat and email at the lowest seat price.
Choose Pipedrive if
- Your job is a focused sales pipeline, with support handled elsewhere.
- You prefer scoring rules you define, and automations from Growth.
- Your reps want deal rotting alerts more than a 360-degree customer view.
Start with the free trials, 21 days on Freshsales and 14 on Pipedrive, and run your step-three overlap list through Freshsales and Freshdesk together to see the shared view in practice. Entries: Freshworks and Pipedrive.
FAQ
Does Freshsales have a free plan?
The pricing page lists Growth, Pro and Enterprise and a 21-day trial with full access; no free plan appears there, read on 26 October 2026. If you do not pick a plan when the trial ends, the account is suspended. The suspension puts the buying decision on day 21, when a pipeline built in Freshsales is cheaper to pay for than to rebuild, so export it first if Pipedrive comes out ahead.
What does the Freddy AI Agent cost?
It is an add-on at $49 per 100 sessions on every Freshsales plan, per the same pricing page. Contact scoring is a separate Pro feature and needs no add-on.
Does the Freshdesk integration cost extra?
Its integration guide lists contact enrichment and the deal-to-ticket link on all plans of both products; you need a Freshdesk admin account and your Freshsales API key to install it.
