Pallyy vs Later: A Client Roster or a Brand's Instagram

The short answer: for a two-person agency posting for six clients, the two cost about the same: Pallyy Agency is $99 a month on monthly billing for 10 client sets and 3 seats, and Later Scale is $110 for 6 sets and 4 seats (checked on 26 October 2026 on the Pallyy and Later pricing pages). What separates them is the client. In Pallyy a client approves posts from a calendar link with no account, and an approval can schedule the post. In Later, people outside the team can only comment through a link, and an approval does not stop a scheduled post from publishing. Choose Pallyy to run a client roster; choose Later to run one brand's Instagram and TikTok, with its influencer platform beside it.

Both sell social sets, so on paper they look alike. A Pallyy set is a client: up to 11 accounts, its own calendar, inbox, bio page and shared link, $10 a month to add (Pallyy pricing). A Later set is a brand's eight networks, with a post allowance per profile on the lower plans and collaboration from Growth.
Before the trials:
- Price your roster at six and at ten clients. At six, Pallyy Agency is $99 and Later is $110 either way, as Scale or as Growth with four extra sets: $50 + 4 x $15 = $110. At ten, Pallyy stays at $99, while Later becomes Scale plus four sets: $110 + 4 x $15 = $170. Monthly billing, from the Pallyy and Later pricing pages.
- Check each client's networks against both lists. X, Bluesky and Google Business Profile are among Pallyy's ten networks, per its llms.txt, and not among Later's eight. Snapchat is on Later's list and not on Pallyy's.
- Count last month's late approvals. For each client, count posts that were approved after their slot had passed, or went out unapproved. That count is the problem the approval flow has to fix, and it is the number to watch in the trial.
How each treats a client
| Client-facing detail | Pallyy | Later | Page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client approves without an account | Yes, on the shared calendar link, from Pro | No; outside reviewers leave comments of up to 500 characters | Pallyy shared calendar, Later collaboration guide |
| Does an unapproved post publish? | Approval can schedule the draft in the same step | Yes, at its scheduled time, unless kept as a draft | Same two pages |
| Link lifetime | Live calendar; can sit on your own domain | Review links expire after 7 days, no password | Same two pages |
| Posts per profile a month | Unlimited on paid plans; 15 a month on Free | 30 on Starter, 180 on Growth, unlimited on Scale | Pallyy pricing file, Later pricing |
| Seats | 1 on Pro, 3 on Agency, 10 on Scale | 1, 2 and 4 by plan | Same two pages |
| Inbox | From Pro, with Facebook and Google reviews and user assignment | From Growth, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok | Pallyy pricing, Later plan reference |
| Analytics kept | 5 years on paid plans | 3 months, 1 year or 2 years by plan | Pallyy pricing file, Later pricing |
| AI assistant connection | MCP server on every plan | No MCP result in its help centre | Pallyy MCP docs |
Where the client feels the difference
Sign-off that controls the calendar
Pallyy's shared calendar has per-client toggles: read-only, allow post approval, schedule post on approval, and which drafts and notes the client sees. Turn on the last two together and the client's yes is the moment the post is scheduled. Later's collaboration guide is candid about its own model: approval status does not block publishing, so a post you want held must stay a draft until a Reviewer, who needs a Later seat, approves it. For clients who refuse logins, that decides it.
Volume per client
A client posting a Reel and a Story every day uses 60 slots a month on one Instagram profile. Later Starter stops at 30 and Growth at 180; Pallyy's paid plans do not count. For a client who lives on Stories, Later's lower plans need watching.
What Later adds that Pallyy does not
Later sells influencer marketing beside the scheduler, adds Instagram Shop product tagging on Growth, and on Scale adds Meta Ads analytics, brand mentions and competitor benchmarking for up to 20 competitors, per its pricing page. Pallyy says in its llms.txt that it is not an ads manager or a listening suite. For one consumer brand selling on Instagram, those extras are the reason to pay.
Prices, both pages, 26 October 2026
- Pallyy (pricing, pricing file): Free for 1 set and 15 scheduled posts a month, image posts only. Pro $25 a month or $240 a year, 1 set and 1 seat; Agency $99 or $950 a year, 10 sets and 3 seats; Scale $199 or $1,980 a year, 30 sets and 10 seats. Extra sets $10 a month on Pro and Agency; extra seats $10 on Agency.
- Later (pricing): Starter $25 a month or $18.75 billed yearly; Growth $50 or $37.50; Scale $110 or $82.50. Extra sets $15 and extra users $5 a month, on Growth and Scale only. Yearly billing takes 25% off.
Later's Starter plan cannot buy a second social set, so an agency's second client moves it to Growth at twice the price before the $15 set add-on is even on offer (Later pricing). Pallyy's Pro takes a second client for $10 a month.
An AI step: drafts from the client's own calendar notes
Pallyy's MCP server works on every plan, Free included, and its 17 tools cover post sets, media and calendar notes, per the MCP docs. A routine: ask the assistant to read next month's calendar notes for one client, the launch dates and events you pinned there, and draft one post for each note. Every post it creates carries the app's name in the post history, so the account manager finds the assistant's work, opens each draft with the calendar link the docs describe, fixes it, and only then lets it reach the client's shared calendar. Later's AI runs inside the app instead, as Caption Writer and Ideas, paid from a monthly pool of 5, 50 or 100 credits.
Start free with one client
Pallyy's free plan takes one client set and 15 image posts a month; Later's takes one set and 12 posts per profile, per its plan reference. Neither includes approvals. Run one real client's publishing on each for a month, and put your slowest approver into the paid trial, where the sign-off flow is what you are testing. Both trials last 14 days and ask for card details; Pallyy charges nothing if you cancel before the end, and Later moves you to the paid plan unless you cancel.
Choose Pallyy if
- Your job is running social for a roster of clients who approve from a link and never log in.
- Clients post to X, Bluesky or Google Business Profile.
- You want an assistant drafting into a client's calendar, with its work labelled in the history.
Choose Later if
- Your job is one brand's Instagram and TikTok, selling through the bio page and Shop tags.
- Influencer campaigns, Snapchat or Meta Ads analytics are part of the plan.
The client-roster case against per-channel pricing is in Pallyy vs Buffer.
FAQ
Can a client approve posts in Later without an account?
No. Later's collaboration guide lets outside reviewers open a link and leave comments of up to 500 characters; approving needs the Reviewer role, which is a Later user.
Does a Later post wait for approval before publishing?
No. The guide says scheduled posts go live at their scheduled time whether or not they are approved, so keep a post as a draft until it is approved.
How much does Pallyy cost for fifteen clients?
Agency with five extra sets: $99 + 5 x $10 = $149 a month on monthly billing, per the pricing page; Agency allows up to 20 extra sets.
