The short answer: you are not misreading Yotpo's pricing: the card shows Reviews Starter at $89 a month and the FAQ says from $15, because the price follows your monthly orders, $15 under 100 orders and $89 between 300 and 599 (Yotpo pricing, Yotpo Reviews pricing file). Under 100 orders with no need for Google stars, that $15 is the cheaper way to collect reviews. Once you want Google Seller Ratings, REVIEWS.io Start-Up at $79 a month for up to 1,000 orders undercuts Yotpo's Pro, which carries Seller Ratings at $119 to $379 by band (REVIEWS.io pricing). Choose Yotpo when the same budget also buys its loyalty programme. All checked on 26 October 2026.

Price your band, not the headline:

  1. One store, worked through. For example, at 1,200 orders a month Yotpo Pro is $269 and REVIEWS.io Start-Up, on its 1,500-order step, is $90, so the gap is $179 a month, or 12 x $179 = $2,148 a year, from the Yotpo pricing file and the REVIEWS.io pricing page.
  2. The programmes you already run. If Yotpo Loyalty is live on its free plan, or you plan its Pro at $199 a month, the Reviews and Loyalty bundle is priced below the two bought apart (Yotpo pricing file). If reviews already sit in Yotpo, read the import limits in the FAQ below before moving them.
  3. Twelve months of orders. Both tools price by volume, Yotpo by orders and REVIEWS.io by invitations, which track orders. Pull monthly order counts for the past year from your store; the busiest months tell you which band you will really pay.

US dollars a month, from the REVIEWS.io pricing page and Yotpo's Reviews pricing file. Both start Google Seller Ratings and Shopping stars on these plans. Yotpo's free plan covers up to 50 orders a month; REVIEWS.io offers a 14-day trial instead.

Where the two differ

What the bill follows

REVIEWS.io counts review invitations, per domain, and its steps are wide: Start-Up stays $79 up to 1,000 a month and reaches $130 at 5,000 (REVIEWS.io pricing). Yotpo counts orders, its bands are narrower at the low end, and Starter stops being offered at 1,000 orders, which moves a growing store onto Pro whether or not it wanted Pro's features (Yotpo pricing file).

Reviews alone, or reviews in a suite

Yotpo sells three products, Reviews, Loyalty and Discover for AI visibility, plus a bundle of the first two (Yotpo pricing file). REVIEWS.io's plans add surveys, a reputation manager and, on Plus, API access and translation, all around reviews. A brand that wants points, referrals and reviews from one vendor has a reason to pay Yotpo's bands; a brand that wants reviews has fewer.

Where the AI sits

REVIEWS.io's AI review summary arrives on Grow, $175 a month at up to 1,000 orders (pricing). Yotpo keeps its AI review summary for Premium, which is priced on request, and the same goes for Smart Prompts, which suggest three topics to each reviewer, drawn from earlier reviews and on-site behaviour, to encourage longer and more specific reviews (Smart Prompts). Smart Prompts need about ten past reviews on a product before topics appear.

One AI step: a summary a person signs off

On REVIEWS.io Grow, add the AI Summary widget to the product template: Publishing, Widget Library, AI Summary, then paste the code with the product's SKU in it. The widget reads that product's reviews and writes a short summary of what customers praise and mention. It needs at least 50 reviews on the SKU, REVIEWS.io recommends 100 or more, and it writes in English only.

The check comes from REVIEWS.io's own article: read the summary on a few product pages to make sure it reflects your reviews fairly. Read it the way a lawyer would. A summary that says "true to size" when a quarter of reviews say it runs small is a claim your product page now makes, so hold the widget back on that product until the reviews say otherwise.

Incentives and low ratings

Yotpo documents coupons for writing or sharing a review, and its own article on incentivized reviews warns against making an incentive conditional on a positive review and tells merchants to check the Omnibus Directive with counsel. Recital 47 of that directive says traders should tell consumers whether reviews have been sponsored or influenced by a contractual relationship with the trader. If you offer a coupon for reviews, that recital is the reason to say so next to them, and to ask counsel how your country applies it. What a shop may do with a one-star review, on either tool, is covered in How to use REVIEWS.io.

Start free, then price the band

Yotpo's free plan runs review collection for up to 50 orders a month with automatic requests and on-site display (Yotpo pricing file); a small store can collect there before paying anyone. REVIEWS.io's 14-day trial is for setup, capped at 25 invitations (How Review Invitations Work).

Know how Yotpo's bands move. Its FAQ says that if you consistently exceed your tier you move up to the next band or plan, and that you are never cut off (Yotpo pricing file), so a strong season raises the monthly price with no one choosing a new plan, and the band you signed up on is the floor, not the ceiling.

Choose REVIEWS.io if your job is

  • Getting Google Seller Ratings and Shopping stars for less at every published order band.
  • Collecting product and company reviews, plus surveys, in one tool.
  • Adding an AI review summary without a custom-priced plan.

Choose Yotpo if your job is

  • Running reviews and a points or referral programme from one vendor.
  • Starting very small, under 100 orders a month, on the $15 Starter band or the free plan.
  • Syndicating reviews across several stores and retailers on Premium.

FAQ

Why does Yotpo show both $15 and $89?

Both are Starter. The price follows monthly orders: $15 for 0 to 99, $24 for 100 to 199, $59 for 200 to 299, $89 for 300 to 599 and $129 for 600 to 999. The pricing page card shows the $89 band (Yotpo pricing, Reviews pricing file).

Can I bring my Yotpo reviews to REVIEWS.io?

Yes, on Start-Up or above and within the account's first 90 days (import requirements). REVIEWS.io's article on the difference uses Yotpo as its example: imported reviews show as third-party, without the Verified Buyer badge, and Google leaves them out of Seller Ratings, so the count toward Google's thresholds restarts (3rd party vs verified).

Does Yotpo need an annual contract?

No. Prices are shown monthly and annual billing is optional, though some features, such as Visual UGC on Pro, come with an annual plan (Reviews pricing file).
