Draft a Sales Deck With AI, Then Source Every Number

The short answer: if sales needs a new deck for a segment or an offer, and the facts already sit in a price list, a product sheet and two customer results cleared for use, an AI presentation tool turns them into a reviewable draft in an afternoon. The hours saved are real only when every figure on the slides points to a source a reviewer can open. Pitch's Team plan costs $19 per editor a month billed yearly or $23 billed monthly, with 500 AI credits shared across the workspace, and its MCP server works on every plan (Pitch pricing, Pitch MCP page); Beautiful.ai Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually or $45 for a single month (Beautiful.ai pricing); Plus AI Pro, the first tier with its MCP server, is $25 a user billed monthly (Plus AI pricing); all checked on 26 October 2026. For example, a 14-slide deck carrying 22 figures and claims, at 3 minutes to check each, needs 22 x 3 = 66 minutes of review. Book that hour before the first prompt, or the draft ships unread.

An AI presentation tool is fluent, and fluency is the risk. In a draft, 41 customers can come back as "dozens", a pilot result as "typically", and a competitor's weakness can appear that nobody wrote down. None of that looks wrong on a slide. The setup below makes the agent cite before it writes and makes a person read before anything is shared. For one tool at a time, see how to use Pitch, how to use Beautiful.ai and how to use Plus AI.

Before the first prompt:

  1. The bill is seats, not drafts. Beautiful.ai includes unlimited AI content generation in every seat (Beautiful.ai pricing). Plus AI's agent spends 40 to 170 credits on a typical task (agent guide), so for example 14 slide tasks at the top of that range use 14 x 170 = 2,380 of Pro's 3,000 a month. In Pitch, extra credits cost $0.004 each, bought from workspace settings, with a budget you can cap (Pitch pricing).
  2. A numbered source pack, from files you already have. The price list, the product sheet, the customer results with the customer's written agreement to be named, and for any competitor line the public page it comes from and the date it was read. Number every item. The agent may cite only those numbers.
  3. The rule that makes the pack matter. Under Directive 2006/114/EC, advertising is any representation made in connection with a trade to promote the supply of goods or services, comparative advertising must compare material, relevant, verifiable and representative features, and Article 7 lets a court demand evidence of the accuracy of factual claims, quickly for comparisons, and treat a claim as inaccurate when the evidence does not come (Directive 2006/114/EC). The pack is that evidence. Each member state writes the directive into its own law, so ask counsel which national rules your deck answers to.
  4. The number to compare later. For the deck being replaced, the share of its last 20 sends that reached a next step, read from the CRM, and the hours the last version took to build.

The workflow, from source pack to sent deck

  1. Trigger: a request with a named reviewer. Sales asks for a deck for a segment. Before any drafting, product marketing is named as the reviewer and the pack is frozen as version 1.
  2. The agent drafts an outline, sources in the notes. In Claude, paste the pack and ask for an outline: for each slide a title, the points, and in the speaker notes the pack number behind every figure and claim. The prompt rules: copy numbers exactly, no "fastest", "leading" or "only" unless a pack item proves it, no competitor named without a dated pack line, and any point without a source flagged as unsourced instead of written.
  3. Check one: the outline, before any slide exists. The reviewer reads the outline against the pack and strikes or fixes each unsourced point. With Beautiful.ai added as a custom connector at the MCP address its FAQ gives, signed in by OAuth, its review_presentation_outline tool builds a review package of the planned deck before creating it, and the connector's own example prompt asks to approve the outline first (Beautiful.ai MCP). Ask for that step by name: the same FAQ says only that some clients may choose to review the outline with the user.
  4. The agent builds the deck in the tool your team presents from. In Beautiful.ai, create_presentation builds from the approved outline with a team theme and an exact-text preservation setting, so approved wording is laid out rather than rewritten; the connector does not edit existing decks slide by slide, so corrections happen in the editor (Beautiful.ai MCP).
  5. Or in Pitch, from a template. Add Pitch from Claude's browser connectors and sign in with an email code (Pitch and Claude). Give Pitch Agent a template and the approved outline and it writes the slides; creation runs in the background with a job ID, draws on workspace AI credits, and the deck lands in your private space unless you name a teamspace (Pitch MCP overview).
  6. Or as a PowerPoint file, with Plus AI. Its MCP server at https://mcp.plusai.com/, signed in by OAuth on Pro or Team, creates a presentation from a prompt or a data source and returns a download link to the file (Plus AI MCP).
  7. Check two: read the deck back, figure by figure. Pitch's MCP server can fetch a deck's text as Markdown (Pitch MCP overview); ask Claude to list every figure and claim with its slide and the pack number from the notes, as a checklist. For Beautiful.ai, export a PDF with export_presentation; for Plus AI, open the file. The reviewer opens each source and marks every line right, fixed or cut. Beautiful.ai's own help centre says generated content may be incorrect, outdated or incomplete and should be verified before sharing (Beautiful.ai on its AI).
  8. Check three, only when a competitor appears. A comparison slide goes to whoever signs off claims. It passes when it compares products meeting the same need, on verifiable features, and does not denigrate the competitor, the Article 4 conditions in the directive.
  9. Release, then file. Only now create the share link, and file the pack version beside the deck version with the reviewer's name and the date. When a price changes, the pack changes first and the deck after it.

The free version first

By hand, the job is a document and the slide software you already pay for: an outline with a source column, then slides built from it. A free chat assistant can draft the slide text from the pack under the same rules, and the checks are identical.

On free tiers with the agent, Pitch's Free plan has unlimited presentations and 100 AI credits that do not renew (Pitch pricing), its MCP server connects on any plan (Pitch MCP page), and Claude's free plan includes connectors (Claude pricing). That is enough to put one deck through the Pitch route, with both checks, without paying.

Paying adds a shared workspace, team templates and themes, renewing credits and tracked links.

Prices in US dollars, taken from each pricing page on 26 October 2026. Pitch shows euros to European visitors: Team was €15 per editor a month billed yearly on the same day.

Choose Pitch when the team presents from a shared workspace and the agent should read the deck back; Beautiful.ai when the outline review and locked team themes matter most; Plus AI when the deck has to stay a PowerPoint file.

How to know it worked

  • The baseline. The next-step share over the old deck's last 20 sends, and the hours its last version took.
  • The review count. Figures and claims changed or cut at check two, per deck. It should fall from deck to deck; if it does not, the pack is thin or the prompt rules are loose.
  • The lead time. Working days from request to approved deck.
  • The holdout. For a quarter, send the new deck to odd-numbered opportunities in the CRM and the old one to the even ones, then compare the share reaching a next step. With a few dozen sends a side, read a small gap as a tie; the review count and the hours are the firmer numbers.

The default worth overriding

Pitch's MCP page suggests asking for a share link in the same prompt that generates the deck, so you can see who engages (Pitch MCP page). Tracked links are the thing Pitch rations by plan, 25 advanced links on Team and unlimited on Business (Pitch pricing), so the route from prompt straight to prospect spends the quota you would upgrade for and skips the reviewer as well. Ask for the link last, in a separate request, after check two.

FAQ

Does the exact-text setting stop the AI changing approved numbers?

It tells Beautiful.ai's create tool to keep the text it is given (Beautiful.ai MCP). Read the deck back anyway: the setting governs generation, and only the check shows what reached the slide.

Can the agent pull figures straight from the CRM?

If your CRM has its own MCP connector, Pitch says your AI tool can reach both (Pitch MCP page). Turn each figure it pulls into a pack line with the report and the date, because an agent quotes a stale field as confidently as a fresh one.

Does an AI-drafted sales deck need an AI label?

The text duty in Article 50(4) of the AI Act covers text published to inform the public on matters of public interest, and lifts where a person has reviewed it and holds editorial responsibility (consolidated AI Act). A deck sent to one buyer is a different thing; what exposes you there is the accuracy of the claims. If the deck becomes a public report, ask counsel again.
