The short answer: if your talks are judged by how many people in the room answer back, Prezi is built for that moment: one QR code lets the audience vote in polls, take quizzes and ask questions, and its Plus plan costs $19 a month billed annually (Prezi homepage, Prezi pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Visme fits better when the same team also ships reports, infographics and forms under one brand, with analytics on Business at US$24.75 per person a month billed yearly (Visme pricing). Choose Prezi if your job is workshops, training and webinars. Choose Visme if your job is content that leaves the room as files and links.

Settle these before either trial:

  1. The price of knowing who looked. Prezi's presentation analytics sit on Premium only, $29 a month billed annually, while Visme includes analytics in Business at $297 a year, per the Prezi and Visme pricing pages. For example, one presenter pays 12 x $29 = $348 a year for Prezi Premium against $297 for Visme Business; five people on Prezi Teams pay 5 x $39 x 12 = $2,340 against 5 x $297 = $1,485 on Visme Business.
  2. The slides you already give. Prezi imports decks from PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva or PDF (Prezi homepage), and its PowerPoint Converter is listed from Plus up (pricing). Visme's AI Designer can start from an uploaded document on a paid plan (AI Designer guide).
  3. The number that says it worked. For a workshop, the share of attendees who answered the first poll, which Prezi reports question by question during the session (homepage). For a report, Visme's completion rate on the published project (analytics guide).

The differences that decide it

A live session, or a piece that ships

Prezi's homepage is about the room: questions ranked by audience upvotes with a moderation queue, remote attendees joining the same way, results arriving while you can still re-teach (homepage). Visme's pricing page is about output: downloads in PPTX, HTML5 and video on Business, forms, brand control and analytics (pricing). A trainer running cohorts needs the first. A marketing team that publishes a report, a deck and an infographic from the same numbers needs the second.

What attendees keep

After a Prezi session, people can review the material as flashcards, a self-test, a podcast or a narrated video. That is a learning tool's habit, and for onboarding and training it is the point. Visme hands over a link or a file, which suits a buyer, a board or a newsletter better than a quiz.

What each plan costs

Prezi's pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026, shows annual billing only, with a 14-day free trial. For individuals: Standard $7 a month, Plus $19 and Premium $29. On the Business tab: Plus $19, Premium $29 and Teams $39 a month per user, which adds team collaboration, a custom brand kit and single sign-on. Basic is free.

Visme's pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026, shows Starter at $12.25 a month per person billed yearly ($147) or $29 monthly, and Business at $24.75 billed yearly ($297) or $59 monthly. Enterprise is quoted from 10 users.

Rebuilding last quarter's deck with Prezi AI

Prezi documents its AI as a conversation rather than an editor (Prezi AI page). Drop in the PowerPoint, PDF or Word file you used last time, say who the audience is and what they should do afterwards, and Prezi AI builds a new presentation from it. Ask for changes in plain language, or edit the slides directly. Upload your brand guidelines or link your website so it applies your colours and logo, then choose a zooming Prezi or classic slides and export as PPTX, PDF or a web link.

The check before the session belongs to the presenter. Read every figure against the source file, because a rebuilt deck can reword a number as easily as a sentence, and rehearse the flow once with the polls in place. If the session makes claims about results, follow the review in Draft a Sales Deck With AI, Then Source Every Number. On the Visme side, an agent route exists through its MCP connector, described in Visme vs Canva.

What the free plan shows to strangers

Prezi's free Basic plan keeps up to five projects, and anyone can see them; privacy control starts on a paid plan (pricing). A draft of an internal training or a client workshop built on Basic is therefore public from the moment it exists. Use Basic for a talk you would publish anyway, and start the trial for anything confidential.

Try both on one real session

Run your next internal session on Prezi's Basic plan or trial with one poll and one quiz, and turn the same material into a one-page summary on Visme's free plan. If the poll answers changed what you said next, Prezi has earned its place. If the summary was the thing people asked for afterwards, Visme has.

  • Choose Prezi if your job is workshops, onboarding, training and webinars where audience participation and follow-up learning are the measure.
  • Choose Visme if your job is branded reports, infographics, forms and decks that a marketing team publishes and tracks.

The Visme entry lists its plans in full, and Visme vs Gamma covers decks that are read like web pages.
