The short answer: consider Insense if what you are short of is video for Meta and TikTok ads: on its Brand plan a quarter costs $1,500, UGC videos start at $100 each, and a 10% marketplace fee is added to what you pay creators, so twelve videos come to $2,820, or $235 each (Insense pricing). Consider Upfluence if what you want is a year-round programme of creators, many of them your own customers, paid on the sales their codes bring, for a fixed fee that takes no share of sales and runs for at least 12 months (Upfluence pricing FAQ). Both read on 26 October 2026. Few people search this pair; it is here because the two are the nearest documented alternatives for a brand starting with creators.

Before you book a demo with either:

  1. Price a video, not a plan. For example, twelve UGC videos on Insense's Brand plan: $1,500 for the quarter, 12 x $100 = $1,200 to creators, and 10% of that, $120, as the marketplace fee, $2,820 in all, or $2,820 / 12 = $235 a video. The one-month Trial with eight videos costs $650 + $800 + 20% of $800, $1,610, or $201.25 each (Insense pricing).
  2. Look at what you already have. If your strongest ads already feature people talking to camera, Insense supplies more of them. If customers already tag you and use codes, Upfluence's Live Capture checks each new buyer or newsletter subscriber against its creator database and adds the matches to a list, with their purchases and spend (Live Capture).
  3. Name the number you will report. For Insense, cost per result in your ad account, with each ad tagged by creator. For Upfluence, paid orders per creator from codes and links. Write last quarter's figure next to it before you start.

Where they differ

What you end up owning

Insense's terms give the brand full digital rights once content is approved and paid for: perpetual use across social media, websites, newsletters, blogs and email, while the creator keeps the copyright (Insense pricing FAQ). The asset is the deliverable. Upfluence's deliverable is a relationship that produces sales: codes that work in Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce or Amazon stores, and commissions validated against paid orders (Upfluence homepage, commissions article).

Strangers who apply, or customers who already buy

Insense's creators have completed its education programme and use its app, and applications arrive within 48 hours, with content in 14 days, per its homepage. Insense guarantees at least five applicants who match your brief, or refunds the subscription (pricing FAQ). Upfluence starts from your own list: Live Capture can run back over past customers as well as new ones (retroactive analysis).

A quarter, or a year

Insense's Brand and Agency plans renew every three months; Upfluence's minimum is twelve. If the test is whether creator content beats studio content in your ads, a quarter answers it. If the plan is a standing affiliate channel, a year is the horizon either one needs.

What each costs

Checked on 26 October 2026.

  • Insense (pricing page): Trial from $650 for one month, 20% fee, up to 10 creators and one campaign; Brand from $500 a month billed $1,500 a quarter, 10% fee, two seats; Agency from $800 a month billed $2,400 a quarter, 7% fee, five brands. Creator payments are extra, sponsored posts start at $125 for nano-influencers, and the Trial moves to the quarterly Brand plan unless you cancel at least 48 hours before it ends.
  • Upfluence (pricing page): no published price. Find Creators, Scale Programs and Auto-pilot are quoted by module, team size and programme volume, with no mandatory setup fee and a dedicated account manager.

One AI step: outreach beyond the marketplace

When a brief needs more applicants than Insense's own creators provide, its outreach tool emails creators outside the marketplace. The agent work is done for you: Insense pre-fills an email sequence from your campaign strategy, and its AI preselects thousands of creators who match the brief (outreach article). The person's part is the check: trim the list with Creator Discovery if the AI's picks drift, connect a warmed Gmail account as sender, open the sequence preview and read every email before clicking Launch Outreach. On Upfluence, Jaice does the equivalent, drafting the brief and on-brand emails with the right links in (Jaice article). Either way, nothing is sent until a person has read it.

Choose Insense if your job is

  • Feeding Meta and TikTok ad accounts with new creator videos every month.
  • Licensing content for good, without negotiating rights per creator.
  • Testing creator content for a quarter before committing longer.

Choose Upfluence if your job is

  • Turning customers and fans into affiliates paid on their sales.
  • Running codes, gifting, commissions and payouts for a standing roster.
  • Paying a fixed fee that does not grow with the sales creators drive.

The entries for Insense and Upfluence carry the details.

Decide with your own ad account first

The free step costs an afternoon. Pull the last 90 days of paid social and split the ads into those with a person on camera and those without, with cost per result for each. Then count the orders that used a creator or customer code. If creator-led ads already win, Insense buys more of what works; if codes already sell, Upfluence organises what exists.

Insense's fee is a share of every payment you route through it, and its own FAQ lists what raises a creator's price, a UGC expert or both raw and edited footage (Insense pricing FAQ), so each upgrade a brief asks for also raises what the platform earns. Ask for raw footage when your editor will use it, not by default.

FAQ

Who owns the videos made on Insense?

The creator keeps the copyright and licenses you perpetual digital rights once the content is approved and paid. Full intellectual property rights need a separate contract through Insense's managed service (Insense pricing FAQ).

Does Upfluence take a cut of creator payments?

Upfluence says every plan is a fixed platform fee and that it takes no percentage of sales (Upfluence pricing FAQ). Insense's 5% covers payment processing and 5% administration on its 10% Brand fee, per its FAQ.

Can Insense run an affiliate programme too?

It lists affiliate and TikTok Shop campaigns among its use cases, and integrates with Shopify and Stripe (Insense pricing). Upfluence's sales tracking, commission validation and payouts are the deeper set for a programme that runs all year (commissions article).
