The short answer: if you sell your own course or digital product by email, Systeme.io runs it from $0 to $97 a month with unlimited sends, while HighLevel charges $97 a month plus $0.675 for every 1,000 emails (Systeme.io pricing, HighLevel pricing guide, checked on 26 October 2026). HighLevel earns that meter when the work is for clients and the lead expects a text, a call or an instant reply: SMS, calling, Conversation AI and booking sit in one inbox per sub-account, from $297 a month for unlimited clients (HighLevel pricing). Choose Systeme.io if your job is selling. Choose HighLevel if your job is following up for other businesses.

The two overlap more than their homepages suggest. Systeme.io, built for creators selling what they know, quietly allows unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, each carrying the main plan's limits, and includes a white label on every plan (pricing, white label page). HighLevel calls itself an AI-powered business operating system and puts the conversation at the centre: missed calls, texts, reviews, booked appointments (homepage). Both can run a client's funnel. Only one was designed around the phone ringing.
Run these numbers before a demo:
- Your own list, mailed as often as you mail it now. For example, 30,000 contacts sent four emails a month is 120,000 emails: HighLevel Starter costs $97 + 120 x $0.675 = $178 a month, and Systeme.io Unlimited $97 with sends unlimited (pricing guide, Systeme.io pricing).
- Eight clients on each. For example, eight email-only clients under 5,000 contacts each fit inside Systeme.io Startup at $17, because each sub-account gets Startup's limits; on HighLevel they need Unlimited at $297, plus usage (Systeme.io pricing, HighLevel pricing).
- The tools your clients already pay for. A texting tool, a scheduler, a review tool, a phone line. HighLevel replaces those; Systeme.io does not try to. If the list is empty, so is HighLevel's head start.
- The figure you report back. For a seller, revenue per contact. For an agency, booked calls per 100 leads per client, read from the same pipeline every month.

Read on 26 October 2026 on the Systeme.io pricing page, the Systeme.io white label page, the HighLevel pricing page and its pricing guide. HighLevel bills $970, $2,970 or $4,970 a year if paid yearly; Systeme.io's paid plans are $170, $470 and $970 a year.
What separates them in practice
The moment each is built for
Systeme.io is built for the sale: funnels with order bumps and one-click upsells, courses, an affiliate programme, a blog, a store with physical products, and 0% transaction fees (pricing). HighLevel is built for the minutes after a form is filled in. Its pricing page lists reputation management, an ad manager, inbound and outbound calling, a mobile app and unified conversations among the core features, with usage charges on the AI and telephony items (pricing). A creator meets few of those needs. A dentist's front desk meets all of them.
How the bill moves as clients arrive
Systeme.io's bill moves only when contacts pass a tier. HighLevel's subscription stops at $297 for unlimited clients, and from there the growth is usage and add-ons: email, phone and AI from the wallet, and AI Employee at $50 or $97 a month per sub-account (pricing). For example, eight clients on the $97 AI Employee plan add 8 x $97 = $776 a month, more than twice the subscription. Price the AI per client before you promise it to one.
A follow-up drafted by an agent, sent by a person
HighLevel's MCP server lets an AI client search opportunities, read conversation history and send messages, limited to the scopes on a Private Integration Token created inside one sub-account. Its own guidance is to grant the least privilege and review write access carefully, so start read-only:
- In the client's sub-account, open Settings, then Private Integrations, and create a token with View Opportunities, View Conversations and View Conversation Messages only.
- Add the endpoint, the token and the location ID to your MCP client.
- Ask for every opportunity in your proposal stage with no reply in seven days, the last message in each thread, and a two-line follow-up for each, returned as a table.
- The human check: the account manager edits each draft and sends it from HighLevel's conversations inbox. The token cannot send, because it holds no edit scope.
After a month of drafts that needed little editing, adding the Edit Conversation Messages scope is a decision with evidence behind it.
Start on the free plan
Systeme.io's free plan needs no card and does not expire, so build one client's funnel and welcome sequence there first (pricing FAQ). If texting and calling are the point, HighLevel's 14-day trial follows; its pricing page notes that billing starts by itself when the trial ends unless cancelled, and that usage fees can apply during it (pricing).
Systeme.io's white label has one condition, stated in its own FAQ: you set your prices for clients, as long as they are not lower than Systeme.io's (white label page). The software is free to rebrand, and the vendor's price list stays the floor under every reseller.
Systeme.io wins when your job is
- Selling your own course, membership or digital product, with the list mailed as often as you like.
- Running small email-only clients as sub-accounts on one modest plan.
- Reselling a funnel and course platform under your brand without a higher tier.
HighLevel wins when your job is
- Answering leads for client businesses by text, call and email from one inbox.
- Adding the eleventh client without the subscription moving.
- Selling your own software subscriptions through SaaS Mode on Agency Pro.
Background: the Systeme.io entry and the HighLevel entry, with first builds in how to use Systeme.io and how to use HighLevel.
Sometimes the push toward an all-in-one comes from a CRM, a scheduler and a texting tool that each hold a different version of the same customer. That is a decision about the stack before it is one about a vendor, and the Startup Fixer, a one-week review I sell, is built for it.
FAQ
Can Systeme.io run accounts for clients like HighLevel?
It can hold them: every plan allows unlimited sub-accounts, each a full account with the main plan's limits (pricing). What it lacks next to HighLevel is the client-side conversation layer: calling, a shared inbox and AI that answers leads.
Is email cheaper on Systeme.io?
For a list mailed often, yes. Systeme.io includes unlimited sends on every plan; HighLevel charges $0.675 per 1,000 emails on every plan, so 200,000 emails a month add $135 (Systeme.io pricing, pricing guide).
Does either take a share of sales?
Systeme.io lists 0% transaction fees on every plan (pricing). HighLevel lists no percentage on its pricing page and connects providers such as Stripe, PayPal and Square, whose processing fees apply (pricing).
