Shopify alternatives
By Joris van Huët · each comparison from the vendors' own pricing and help pages, prices dated on the page
The short answer: 7 tools are compared with Shopify on this site, and the line under each one is the verdict from its comparison: who should pick which, with the figures that decide it on the comparison itself. Read the one that names your job. What Shopify costs and who it suits is in its entry, and how to use Shopify walks through one job with it.

ClickFunnels
If most of your orders are one product plus an add-on, ClickFunnels is built for that sale; if they are baskets of several products shipped from stock, Shopify is.
Etsy
Choose Etsy if your job is being found by buyers already searching a marketplace. Choose Shopify if your job is selling to buyers you bring yourself, and selling to them again.
Payhip
Choose Payhip if your job is selling downloads, courses, memberships or coaching to buyers in many countries without filing their VAT yourself. Choose Shopify if your job is a catalogue with physical stock, where digital products are one shelf among several.
Replo
Replo does not replace Shopify, it sits on top of it: with a store connected, its pages put products into a Shopify cart, check out on Shopify and land orders in your Shopify admin (Selling with Shopify). So the real question is whether a second subscription earns its place.
Sellfy
Choose Sellfy if your job is a creator store that sells to your own audience, merch included, without holding stock. Choose Shopify if your job is a catalogue that is growing toward stock, staff or a shop counter.
Square
Choose Square if your job is running a café, salon or shop counter with a simple online add-on. Choose Shopify if your job is an online catalogue that also sells at a counter or a pop-up.
Squarespace
Choose Squarespace if your job is a website that books, invoices and sells a little. Choose Shopify if your job is selling products, with the website as the shop window.
