The short answer: 11 tools are compared with Buffer on this site, and the line under each one is the verdict from its comparison: who should pick which, with the figures that decide it on the comparison itself. Read the one that names your job. What Buffer costs and who it suits is in its entry, and how to use Buffer walks through one job with it.

Agorapulse
If two or more people answer direct messages, reviews and ad comments for your brand, Agorapulse is built for that job, and it bills per person: Standard is $99 per user a month on monthly billing, with 10 social profiles (Agorapulse pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
Hootsuite
If your team needs content approvals and routed customer care for a large brand, and the budget is counted per person, Hootsuite sells that as a suite: approvals and message routing start on Advanced, $399 per user a month billed annually (Hootsuite plans, checked on 26 October 2026).
Later
If each brand you run posts to four or more of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads and Snapchat, Later prices that as one social set, and two sets with two users cost $50 a month on its Growth plan (Later pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
Metricool
If you report organic posts and paid ads together for several brands, Metricool is built for that and priced by brand: up to five brands, each with one profile per network plus its Meta, Google and TikTok ad accounts, cost $25 a month on Starter with monthly billing (Metricool pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
Pallyy
An agency posting for 10 clients with three people pays Pallyy $99 a month on its Agency plan, which includes 10 client sets of up to 11 accounts each (Pallyy pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). The same 10 clients at three accounts each are 30 channels on Buffer Team, $195 a month (Buffer pricing).
Planable
If no post may go out before a client, a manager or legal has signed it, Planable enforces that: its Pro plan, $59 a workspace a month on monthly billing with unlimited users, lets you make approval required, and Enterprise adds multi-level approval (Planable pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
Publer
For a small team that fills calendars in bulk, recycles evergreen posts and needs a client to approve after a manager, Publer does more per dollar: 10 accounts and two extra members cost $76 a month on its Business plan with monthly billing (Publer plans, checked on 26 October 2026), against $120 for 10 channels on.
Sendible
An agency with three clients on six profiles each, four staff and clients who approve posts, pays Sendible $99 a month on its Plus plan, which includes 3 workspaces, 18 profiles and unlimited users (Sendible pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
